honestly so over these cheap blocks i keep finding in my junk drawer because my brand new iphone 16 takes like three hours to hit 80 percent and its driving me crazy. i just spent almost a thousand bucks on this thing and i feel like its just sitting on the cable all day while im trying to get work done. i need something that actually uses the full charging speed because i have a big trip coming up this weekend and i cant be tethered to a wall the whole time. my budget is like 40 or 50 bucks maybe. do i have to buy the official apple one or are those anker ones actually better for the 16? let me know what you guys use because i need to order something tonight...

Honestly, you gotta skip the Apple stuff and go for the Anker 713 Charger Nano II 45W. It's absolutely amazing and way smaller than those bulky bricks! I use it every day and it's a total game changer for quick top-ups before heading out. Trust me, you're gonna love not being stuck to a wall anymore... it's just fantastic!

Re: "Building on the earlier suggestion, make sure you..." - honestly those junk drawer cables will throttle your speeds every time. If you want the fastest charge on the 16 you really need at least a 30W brick to see a real difference. Apple sells a 20W one but its kinda mid for the price tbh. A few quick tips for your budget:

  • The <a href=" https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw= iPhone+16+can+actually+pull&_sacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=p4624852.m570.l1311&mkcid=1&mkrid=711-53200-19255-0&siteid=0&campid=5337998953&customid=22&toolid=10001&mkevt=1" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">iPhone 16 can actually pull close to 30W or more during peak charging so dont settle for the basic 20W blocks or youll be waiting forever.
  • Go for GaN (Gallium Nitride) tech since those chargers stay way cooler and are tiny for packing in a carry-on. I usually grab the Satechi 30W USB-C GaN Wall Charger because it is super reliable and tiny. If you want more power for the future, the Spigen ArcStation Pro 45W USB C Charger is a great alternative that wont break the bank. Just make sure you actually use the cable that came in the <a href=" https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw= iPhone+box&_sacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=p4624852.m570.l1311&mkcid=1&mkrid=711-53200-19255-0&siteid=0&campid=5337998953&customid=22&toolid=10001&mkevt=1" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">iPhone box... it should handle the speed fine.

Building on the earlier suggestion, make sure you check your cable too. I suggest the UGREEN Nexode 45W Dual USB C Wall Charger since its reliable for travel. Watch out for generic cords.

  • Like someone mentioned, safety is everything.
  • My neighbor used a cheapo block and it actually scorched his wall outlet.
  • He had to call an electrician right before his big flight.
