Planning ahead! Which wireless charger will reliably work in my car for the iPhone 17 Pro? Looking for something that handles bumpy roads well. Budget is around $50.

I'm in the same boat tbh. My commute has so many potholes and my current mount is basically useless lately, so I've been looking into this for my next upgrade too. I'm really cautious about these things since I dont want my phone flying across the car. I've been looking at a couple brands but honestly I'm hesitant to commit. The ESR Qi2 Magnetic Wireless Car Charger with CryoBoost looks interesting because the cooling fan should help with battery health, but its a bit bulky. On the other hand, the Belkin BoostCharge Magnetic Wireless Car Charger 10W is much sleeker, but I've heard the magnets might not be strong enough for the really rough roads I deal with. I'm just worried about spending $50 and having the phone end up on the floor anyway. It's tough when you want reliability but dont want to overpay for something that might not even hold the weight of the 17 Pro... I'll probably just keep researching until the phone actually drops.

Future-proofing, eh? I tried a Belkin BoostCharge in my old ride. Unfortunately, phone still slid around on bumps. Might be better off waiting for real-world reviews in '25.

Qi2 is coming, so wait and see. Magnetic mounts are also an option; Scosche is okay.

Forget brand hype. Over the years, I've prioritized secure mounting above all else. A cheap charger + RAM Mounts setup is safer than a fancy wireless charger that sends your phone flying.

Don't overthink it! Instead of chasing future chargers, a $15 Anker magnetic mount and standard cable works well on bumpy roads. Replace the cable if needed; cheaper than a new charger.
