What's the best fast charger for the new Pixel 10 Pro XL if I'm trying to actually get those max speeds? I'm picking up my phone next Tuesday and realized my old brick is only 18W so it's gonna be slow as hell. Im torn between these:

  • the official Google 45W brick
  • Anker 713 Nano II
  • Ugreen Nexode 45W

The Anker is way smaller which is great for when I'm traveling for work but I've heard the Google one might be more reliable for the PPS protocol? Also the Ugreen is like ten bucks cheaper but idk if it's worth the risk. My budget is strictly $40 max. Which one actually hits the top speed without getting crazy hot?

Totally agree with the points about PPS profiles. If your brick doesnt support the specific voltage steps the Pixel 10 Pro XL asks for, you're just throwing money away on a slow charge. Its really frustrating when a charger claims 45W but only gives you 15W because the protocol handshake fails. If you want to stay well under that $40 cap, the Spigen ArcStation Pro 45W GaN is a decent option. It handles PPS properly and doesnt get nearly as hot as the older Ugreen models. Another sleeper hit is the Samsung EP-T4510 45W USB-C Charger. It might feel wrong using a Samsung plug for a Google phone, but they actually use the same tech specs. Its reliable, safe, and stays cool even when pushing max wattage. Usually goes for around $30, which is a steal for the build quality.

Regarding what #1 said about "Unfortunately, the Anker 713 wont hit 45W. I..." - he is totally spot on. Most people forget that PPS (Programmable Power Supply) is the secret sauce for Pixels. I have been geeking out over power curves for years and honestly, I am happy to report you dont need to break the bank for the official name brand. I have been using a few different bricks lately and found some budget gems that work well without melting.

  • Samsung 45W USB-C Fast Charging Wall Charger EP-T4510
  • This thing is a tank and hits the PPS specs perfectly. Usually cheaper than the Google one too.
  • Ugreen Nexode Pro 65W GaN Charger
  • This one is sick because it has extra ports for when I travel but still hits the max speed on the main port. I used to worry about the heat on the Ugreen stuff but my latest tests show they stay pretty chill. Ngl, saving that $15 feels pretty good when the performance is identical. Just make sure your cable is rated for 5A tho or the brick wont matter...

Unfortunately, the Anker 713 wont hit 45W. I had issues with heat on the Nexode, so grab the Google 45W USB-C Power Adapter to get those max speeds safely.

If you want safety and speed, the Anker 313 Charger 45W Ace is amazing because it uses GaN tech to keep things cool! It supports the full PPS range your Pixel needs to hit 45W. Its fantastic for travel and super reliable too!! You gotta try it!
