Upgrading from my Pixel 7—honestly fed up with the overheating—and I’m anxious about chargers for the 10 Pro. I saw the Google Stand but the fan sounds noisy, and Anker pads seem too slow.

Requirements:

  • Silent (no fans)
  • Hits max 23W speed

Which wireless charger works best for the 10 Pro? Oh, it must work through a thick case too...

I'm no expert but I just looked into this last week for my own setup. The 23W peak speed is proprietary to Google's hardware. Third-party chargers are limited by the Qi EPP standard, which usually caps Pixels at 12W or 15W. Here is what my research showed:

  • Only the Google Pixel Stand 2nd Gen hits the full 23W. It has a fan, but you can enable 'Silent' mode in the phone settings. This stops the noise but also drops the wattage.
  • Silent pads like the Anker 315 Wireless Charger or Spigen ArcField Wireless Charger are limited to 12W-15W on Pixel devices.
  • Thick cases over 3mm interfere with induction, causing more heat and slower speeds. You cannot get 23W without the official stand. Every fanless third-party option will be significantly slower.
