Any recommendations for Moto G Stylus (2025) screen protectors?

I just pre-ordered the new Moto G Stylus (2025) and I’m really excited to get my hands on it, but I’m a bit nervous about scratching that big display—especially since I’ll be using the stylus constantly. In the past, I’ve had issues where certain tempered glass protectors made the stylus feel 'draggy' or less responsive, which totally ruins the experience for sketching or taking notes.

I’ve been looking around online, but since the phone is so new, there aren't many reviews out yet. I’m torn between going with a traditional tempered glass for the best impact protection or a matte film that might feel more like writing on paper. My main concern is finding something that fits perfectly with a case and doesn't interfere with the touch sensitivity or the built-in stylus accuracy. Does anyone have experience with brands that usually release high-quality protectors for the Moto G series early on? I'd prefer to stay under $20 if possible.

Has anyone found a specific screen protector for the 2025 model that feels smooth with the stylus and doesn't have that weird 'oil slick' effect?

Similar situation here - I went through this last year with the previous model. Honestly, the PET film vs tempered glass debate is real when you're a heavy stylus user. In my experience, glass can feel too slick or 'thick,' but PET film actually gives that slight resistance that makes writing feel more natural, like paper.

I've tried many, and I usually grab the amFilm PET Film Screen Protector for Moto G Stylus or a Mr.Shield Matte Film Screen Protector 3-Pack because they're basically under $10 and don't mess with the digitizer accuracy at all. If you want protection but hate the drag, maybe skip the glass and go film this time around. Gl!

Seconding the recommendation above! Honestly, I'm super cautious about screens too, especially since a big scratch is basically permanent. I'm a total beginner with this stuff, but I've found that Supershieldz Matte Shield Anti-Glare (PET) 3-Pack is a solid safety-first bet because it adds that paper-like friction for the stylus without the bulk of glass. Just be careful during the install... maybe use a steamy bathroom to keep dust away? It's cheap and safe for your 2025 model tho. 👍

Just caught up on this thread and honestly everyone has made some great points about the PET vs glass trade-off. Since you are worried about the stylus feel specifically, I would suggest looking into a wet-install TPU protector. They usually offer a smoother glide than basic PET film without the thickness of glass. I have had really good luck with the IQ Shield Screen Protector for Moto G Stylus 5G 2025. It is a wet application, which might seem intimidating but it basically lets you slide the protector around until it is perfectly centered before it dries. It works great with the pen and stays under that 20 dollar limit. One little DIY trick I have learned over the years... if you go with a film and notice any drag, give the screen a quick wipe with a high-quality microfiber cloth and even check the stylus tip for any tiny dust particles. Sometimes the drag is just surface gunk and not the protector itself! Good luck with the new phone, I am totally jealous of that 2025 display.

Honestly, I feel u on this. I've been a Moto G Stylus fan for years, but finding a protector that doesn't mess with the pen is such a pain. In my experience, most cheap tempered glass ones make the stylus feel super draggy... like you're dragging a stick through mud or something. It's actually the worst for sketching!!

For your situation, I'd suggest checking out Motorola+Moto+G+Stylus+5G+%282025%29+High+Definition+Clear+Shield+%28PET%29&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Supershieldz Designed for Motorola Moto G Stylus 5G (2025) High Definition Clear Shield (PET). It's a film protector, not glass, so it stays super thin and keeps that stylus accuracy 100% perfect. If you really want that glass protection tho, I've had okay luck with Motorola+Moto+G+Stylus+5G+%282025%29+Tempered+Glass+Screen+Protector&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Mr.Shield Designed For Motorola Moto G Stylus 5G (2025) Tempered Glass Screen Protector. Just make sure you bump up the touch sensitivity in the settings if it feels a bit off at first. But yeah, if you want that smooth "paper" feel, definitely go with the film ones... gl with the new phone!!

Honestly, I've had some pretty disappointing experiences with the cheaper glass options on my previous Moto G phones. For your situation, I've found that it basically comes down to choosing between two vibes:

* **Tempered Glass**: Offers the best drop protection but usually feels way too slick and thick for the pen to track accurately.
* **Matte Film**: This is my current setup. It feels *amazing* for sketching, but unfortunately, it kinda dulls the screen clarity.

I mean, if you're worried about the stylus, the film feels much more natural, even if it's not as tough as glass. Good luck!
