so i just got the new Moto G Stylus 2025 like a week ago because i needed something for my art classes and the built-in one is just so tiny its making my hand cramp up like crazy. ive been looking online and honestly its so confusing because some sites say any universal capacitive pen works but then others say only the official replacement has the right digitizer support or whatever. i saw some people talking about the Wacom Bamboo Ink but then a reddit thread said that doesnt work with the G series only the Edge?? i dont wanna waste $40 on something that wont even register pressure sensitivity tbh. which stylus pens actually work best with this 2025 model?

ngl the screen isnt active so pressure sensitivity wont happen with any pen. the dealer wanted $30 for a tiny one but i got the MEKO Universal Disc Stylus for $12 and saved a TON. cost per year is practically nothing... handles the art stuff fine for way less cash. dont buy into the wacom hype for this phone... total waste of money.

Building on the earlier suggestion, yeah — you really have to manage your expectations with the G series. I’ve owned three different versions of this phone since 2020 and people always get tripped up thinking it's like a high-end Wacom tablet, but it’s really just... well, it’s a capacitive screen. No fancy digitizer hidden in there. I tried using a powered active pen a while back and it was total garbage — constant jitter because the phone is basically just looking for a "fat finger" signal. Anyway, for art classes, you want something with actual weight so your hand doesn't claw up:

  • Adonit Pro 4 Luxury Precision Capacitive Stylus is my go-to because it actually feels like a premium tool, not a tiny plastic golf pencil.
  • Digiroot Universal Disc Stylus is a solid backup; the disc lets you see your lines — wait, no — I mean it lets you see under the tip which is huge for precision. Just remember you'll be doing all your line weight stuff manually in the app settings since the screen literally can't "feel" how hard you're pressing.
