Which screen protector should I get for the 2025 Stylus? Im torn between the Spigen tempered glass and the Supershieldz film ones.

I need something that wont mess with the stylus sensitivity for drawing. Budget is under 20 bucks and I need it before the phone arrives next week. Spigen seems better but Supershieldz is way cheaper...

Honestly, if you are looking for long term reliability, the Spigen Glas.tR EZ Fit Tempered Glass Moto G Stylus 2025 is the safer bet for protection. I have used their kits on several moto phones and the alignment tray makes a huge difference. You dont want a misaligned protector catching the stylus tip or peeling at the edges after a week. Tempered glass provides a much higher level of impact resistance compared to film. While film is cheaper, it scratches easily and those micro-scratches can actually make the stylus feel less smooth over time. If you go with the glass, just make sure you re-calibrate the touch sensitivity in the settings menu after installation. It usually fixes any minor lag. The Supershieldz High Definition Clear Shield PET Film Moto G Stylus 2025 is decent for basic scratch protection, but it wont do much if the phone takes a face-first drop on the sidewalk. I prefer the rigidity of glass because it feels more like the original screen surface. Quick tip: always clean the screen with a microfiber cloth and a bit of iso alcohol before applying to avoid bubbles. Its worth the extra couple bucks for the spigen kit just for the peace of mind. Glass protects the actual panel from cracking, which is the most expensive repair on these stylus models tho.

^ This. Also, unfortunately most tempered glass under 20 bucks increases the air gap, which causes parallax issues for artists. I had issues with the amFilm OneTouch Tempered Glass for Moto G Stylus 2025 losing touch sensitivity at the edges during my tests.

  • amFilm: easy install but poor sensitivity
  • Mr.Shield Matte Anti-Glare Screen Protector for Moto G Stylus 2025: better texture but lowers clarity Check XDA forums for digitizer latency data so you dont waste money.

Just catching up on this thread. Like someone mentioned, those sensitivity issues with glass are a total nightmare if you actually use the stylus for art. I spent a fortune last year testing different brands for my last phone... unfortunately, I had issues with almost every glass one I tried. They just feel too thick for precise work and the parallax effect makes me want to throw the phone.

  • IQShield Liquid Shield Screen Protector 2 Pack
  • I really wanted to love this, but the wet install is honestly such a mess. It offers way better stylus glide than any glass, but the texture gets kind of rubbery after a few weeks of heavy use. Not as good as I expected.
  • Skinomi TechSkin Full Coverage Film
  • Used this on my last Moto and was pretty disappointed when the edges started peeling after only a week. It is definitely better for stylus responsiveness than the Spigen, but the durability just isnt what it used to be. Honestly, most of these brands just arent as good as they used to be. If you need it specifically for drawing tho, these wet-install films are basically the only way to go even if they're a massive pain to put on.

  • Safety and reliability have unfortunately declined significantly across the industry.
  • I recently had issues with a shipping delay that ruined my weekend.
  • FedEx just kept pushing the delivery date...
  • Sorry kinda went off topic there.

Saw this earlier but just now responding. Before I ramble, are you planning on doing serious digital art or is the stylus mostly for notes? Makes a big difference in what kind of texture you're gonna want on the screen. I have been through a ton of these phones and honestly, my current setup with a matte finish has been a total game changer. I used to go for the thickest glass I could find because im clumsy, but it always felt disconnected when I tried to draw. The pen tip would just slide around way too much tho. I finally tried a thinner film last year and was so satisfied with how it gripped the stylus. It actually feels like pen on paper now. No complaints about the protection either... it has definitely saved me from a cracked screen a few times.
