My new Motorola Edge 60 Pro is almost dead and I realized it didnt come with a wall plug. Im leaving for a road trip tomorrow morning and really need a fast charger from Best Buy today but I have no idea what I should even look for.

Sorry if this is stupid but what specific brand or speed do I need so I dont break the battery?

> what specific brand or speed do I need so I dont break the battery? ^ This. Also, you really gotta watch out for the heat when youre using these super high-wattage bricks. If youre hitting Best Buy today, you should look at the Rocketfish 65W USB-C GaN Wall Charger. Its usually way cheaper than the big name brands and honestly gets the job done without frying anything. Just make sure the cable you use is actually rated for the high wattage too, otherwise the phone wont even try to fast charge. I would suggest checking the Satechi 66W USB-C GaN 3-Port Wall Power Adapter if its on sale. Its super compact for a road trip which is a huge plus. Just be careful with those super cheap generic ones in the bins near the checkout... those are the ones that actually mess with your battery life long term. Stick to GaN tech and youll be fine.

Just saw this... are you looking to charge only the phone or maybe a laptop too tho? I picked up the Anker 715 Charger 65W Nano II recently and its been solid for the price. Doesnt get too hot. You might also check if they have the Motorola+TurboPower+125W+Wall+Charger+with+USB-C+Cable&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Motorola TurboPower 125W Wall Charger with USB-C Cable in stock because it hits that specific TurboPower speed they recommend.

I bought an Insignia 65W Dual Port Wall Charger last month and it was honestly a disaster since it couldnt handle the PPS handshake for my Moto. So disappointing.

Just found this thread... might be too late for your road trip but definitely worth knowing for the future. I have been around the block with these high-speed devices and honestly, you gotta be careful because some brands claim fast speeds but can actually degrade your cell if the voltage regulation is junk. I once cheaped out and ended up with a bloated battery on my old phone so I am super cautious now. If you are still looking, I would suggest these:

  • Satechi 100W USB-C PD Compact GaN Charger: I use this for my travel kit. It is pricey but the build quality is top-tier. It manages heat really well which is huge for long-term battery health.
  • Native Union Fast GaN Charger PD 67W: A bit more affordable and really compact. It wont max out the Moto speeds, but it is very reliable for daily use. Just make sure you get a cable rated for 100W too or the brick wont matter.
