Just pre-ordered the Razr 2026 for my Japan trip—so stoked! I've seen 68W PD chargers mentioned, but some say you need official TurboPower for max speed.

  • Under $40
  • Compact/travel-sized

Which 3rd party brands actually trigger the TurboPower UI? Oh, and it needs to be dual-port if possible...

Look, I’m all about saving a buck—with three kids, every single cent counts—so when these companies try to sell you their 'official' brick for a fortune, I just laugh. My local store tried to tell me I needed their specific $60 charger, but I did some digging and found better for half that. I actually fixed my own dryer last week for twelve bucks when the repairman wanted $300, so I'm not scared of a little research! For that Razr, you want something that handles PD 3.0 with PPS — wait, actually, PPS is the secret sauce for that TurboPower animation.

  • Anker 735 Charger GaNPrime 65W is my go-to for travel. It’s tiny, fits in my bag next to the kids' snacks, and it triggers the fast charging UI perfectly. I snagged mine for about $38, which saved me a ton compared to the branded stuff.
  • Then there's the Baseus 65W GaN5 Pro Desktop Charger which is even cheaper—I think I got one for $29 on sale. It's got the dual ports you want, though the Anker feels a bit sturdier for the long haul. You’re basically getting the same performance for $30 less, which is just smart math.

> Anker 735 Charger GaNPrime 65W is my go-to for travel. Building on the earlier suggestion, the Anker unit often retails above the $40 limit unless it is on a deep discount. I have also found that specific model can be finicky with PPS handshakes when a second device is plugged in, which often kills the TurboPower animation on Motorola devices. A more consistent choice for the Razr is the Ugreen Nexode 65W GaN 3-Port. It currently retails for $35.99. This charger supports the PPS 3.3V-11V/5A specification. Many 65W chargers only offer a 3A PPS rating, which caps Motorola phones at lower speeds. You specifically need the 5A PPS profile to hit the 68W peak and trigger the TurboPower UI. Dimensions are 2.59 x 1.57 x 1.22 inches. It weighs 4.5 ounces. The foldable prongs make it ideal for travel. It features two USB-C ports and one USB-A port. If you use both USB-C ports simultaneously, the primary port delivers 45W and the secondary delivers 20W. This allows you to fast charge the Razr while charging a second accessory at a reasonable speed. This unit handles 100-240V input. It will work perfectly in Japan. Since Japan uses the same flat two-pin plug as North America, you will not even need a physical adapter for most outlets there.

Like someone mentioned, PPS is lowkey the secret sauce. Just make sure your cable is 5A rated — wait, E-marked, I mean — or it won't hit those max speeds tbh.
