I’m moving up from a OnePlus 9. The battery is shot and the screen is a mess of scratches. I just pre-ordered the OnePlus 13 and I’m honestly anxious about the screen. I need a solid tempered glass protector. I don’t want to ruin the display or have the fingerprint sensor fail. I’m looking at the Whitestone Dome, but that UV light setup looks complicated and it's expensive. Then there’s the Spigen Glas.tR, which is usually my go-to, but I've heard mixed things about curved glass fitment. I also saw a cheap 3-pack from Ibywind. I’m worried the cheap ones will feel like plastic or lift at the edges after a week. My budget is around $30-40. I just need something that won't mess with the ultrasonic sensor. The camera and battery are my main reasons for the upgrade, so I can't have a bad protector ruining the experience. Is the Whitestone actually worth the extra stress and money, or should I just stick with Spigen?
Re: "ngl just skip the Spigen this time because..."
ngl just skip the Spigen this time because their black borders always lift on those curved edges and itll drive you CRAZY. if you dont wanna shell out for the dome kit then the Ibywind Tempered Glass Screen Protector for OnePlus 13 is lowkey the best value move tbh because you get a 2-pack with the alignment frame for way under your budget and they actually use a thinner glass that plays NICE with that ultrasonic sensor. just make sure you re-register your fingerprints AFTER you install it and it wont lift as long as you clean the screen perfectly so there is zero oil on the glass or the adhesive wont bond right and youll end up with those annoying bubbles along the sides...
oh man this is exactly my thing i literally just went through this exact same dilemma with my last three phones and ngl i spent hours watching macro footage of glue curing. the ultrasonic sensor on the op13 is a BEAST but it is super picky with glass thickness and air gaps. if you want that perfect unlock speed you gotta go with the liquid glue stuff even if the install is a total nightmare...
