Saw some S25 Edge Black Friday ads. Anyone know where to find the best deals? Hoping to stay under $800.

Quick post before I head out... honestly I looked for that sub-800 price point for the S25 Edge and it's basically non-existent unless you're trading in a kidney or signing a three-year contract. Like someone mentioned, finding a real bargain this year is tough. I've had issues with 'budget' flagship hunting lately and the results weren't as good as expected. Here are some actual options I've messed with:

  • Check Amazon Renewed for a Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra 512GB Titanium Gray. I grabbed one recently and while the battery health was only at 90 percent which sucked, the price was right around 760.
  • If you want brand new, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Plus 256GB Cobalt Violet is dipping to 799 on B&H Photo right now. I bought one and it works fine, though the zoom lens is kinda disappointing compared to the Ultra.
  • Spend the leftover cash on a Samsung 45W USB-C Fast Charging Wall Charger because the third-party ones I tried from these 'bundle' deals usually overheat or charge at snail speeds. Ngl, the S25 Edge pricing is just a letdown this year. Better to get a solid S24 variant than a sketchy S25 deal that isnt actually a deal.

Re: "Quick post before I head out... honestly I..." - ngl that price point is basically a fairytale for a current year flagship. ive been through three of these release cycles and the "deals" usually just hide the cost in your monthly bill. looks like the thread consensus so far is basically:

  • avoid international versions cuz of the 5G band mess
  • wait for last years tech to drop or go refurbished
  • watch out for those sketchy unbranded sites tbh if youre dead set on staying under 800, are you strictly looking for an unlocked unit or is a carrier deal okay? and honestly, do you actually NEED the curved glass or are you just chasing the aesthetic... i tried it years ago and it was garbage for accidental touches, though they might have fixed the palm rejection by now. i just dont see a way to hit that price without some serious compromises...

stumbled upon this today and figured id add my two cents. honestly finding an s25 edge under 800 this early is gonna be tough without a carrier contract or a big trade-in. just a heads up tho... be really careful with those international version listings you see on sites like ebay or third party sellers. they usually look like a great deal but they often lack the proper 5g bands for our local networks. ive seen people get stuck with a phone that barely gets lte speeds because of compatibility issues. plus samsung usually wont honor the warranty if the model number isnt for your specific region. basically its a huge gamble for a device that expensive and totally not worth the risk imo.

I'd avoid unbranded online stores. My Samsung A54 was counterfeit. Buy from Best Buy.

S25 Edge deals are tough. Instead, consider last year's S24. Similar Snapdragon chip, probably cheaper. I've run Samsung phones for years; software support is excellent. Battery life is the real gamble – depends on your usage. Check Swappa for used models, often great deals.

Before splurging, check last year's S24! Often cheaper, still amazing, and plenty capable!

Regarding phone deals, be careful using it while driving. Distracted driving is a killer. I'd suggest mounting it securely. A reliable $20 RAM mount saved me from dropping mine countless times. Make sure your car insurance is up-to-date. Seriously, phone deals aren't worth an accident.

Forget S25 Edge hype! Real market analysis shows Xiaomi 14 Pro offers comparable specs, often cheaper, especially around Black Friday. Dig deep for deals; I saw some around $750 last year.

Haven't seen killer S25 Edge deals yet, but maybe consider DIY repair instead? Swapping the screen yourself could save serious cash. I had issues with aftermarket displays (colors weren't as good as expected, unfortunately). iFixit has repair kits; check their site. Might be cheaper than a new phone. Just a thought from a fellow tinkerer!
