Anyone know what deals to expect on the Samsung Galaxy XCover7 Pro this Black Friday & Cyber Monday 2025? Specifically looking for the black model. Budget is around $300. Any predictions based on previous years?

> focus on long-term value. A reliable phone that survives drops & greasy hands? Priceless for wrenching. Agreed 100% with Maxime. These things really are built different... I remember my first rugged phone survived a literal fall into a puddle of oil and kept on ticking. Tbh, hitting exactly $300 for a brand new XCover7 Pro might be a stretch even on Cyber Monday since its still pretty fresh. I have been playing around with a Blackview BV9300 256GB Rugged Smartphone lately and its surprisingly decent for around $290. The battery life is actually insane compared to some of the Samsungs Ive tried. If you really want to stick with the big brands tho, maybe keep an eye on the Samsung Galaxy XCover6 Pro 128GB Black because its price usually tanks right when the newer ones get their holiday promos. Found one for my brother last year at a local shop for way under MSRP. Just gotta be ready to jump when the price drops!

Good to know!

TL;DR: Rugged frames often hide bottom-tier internals. Prioritize UFS storage and thermal specs over drop ratings. I am in the exact same position, hunting for a sub-$300 rugged unit for the same reasons, but the options are disappointing. Everyone pushes these "pro" models based on brand name, but the technical specs rarely justify the price even on sale. Caution: many rugged devices use eMMC storage which slows down significantly once the drive hits 70% capacity. Also, these thick housings are thermal traps. In my testing, sustained loads cause aggressive CPU throttling because the heat has nowhere to go. If a device lacks decent thermal routing, it will lag in high-temp work environments regardless of the IP rating. Most Black Friday deals are just inventory dumps of these thermal-throttling units. Don't buy for the shell if the silicon is trash.

Honestly, skip the XCover. I smashed two. Get a used CAT S62 Pro instead. Tougher, same price range, and I found one last year for $250. Trust me.

Forget Black Friday! Check out ruggedized alternatives like the Kyocera DuraForce Pro 2 (E6910). IP68 rated, MIL-STD-810G certified – practically indestructible! Its Snapdragon 660 offers solid performance, and the sapphire shield display is amazing. No deals needed; it's built to last! You'll love it.

Forget deals, think reliability! I'd be wary using a phone that cheap for critical car functions (diagnostics, etc.). Had issues with cheaper tech failing at the worst times. Consider a more robust, used CAT phone instead. Safety first!

Check older XCover models too! They're often cheaper and still rugged. Might save $100+.

Honestly, check rugged CAT phones too. Samsung had issues. Market price might be $400.

Forget deals; screen repair is key. If it breaks, DIY kits around $80 are cheaper than pro service. YouTube's your friend!

Forget Black Friday hype. I've seen these XCover phones become workhorses, lasting YEARS. My beat-up XCover6 still streams music in the garage. Don't expect HUGE discounts; focus on long-term value. A reliable phone that survives drops & greasy hands? Priceless for wrenching. Just sayin'.

Hey! I'm not sure about Black Friday deals specifically. But up here in Minnesota, the XCover7 Pro seems solid for our winters, right? Heard the IP68 rating helps with snow and slush. Anyone else in colder climates using it? Might be worth checking if the screen is glove-friendly if you're like me and hate taking them off. No complaints so far!
