What is the best screen protector for the Samsung Galaxy S26 Plus that won't mess up the phone? I'm finally upgrading from my ancient Galaxy S10 and I’m honestly so confused by all the options out there. My old S10 is a mess—the screen is totally cracked and the battery dies in like three hours so I'm desperate to keep this new one safe. I don't really know much about tech stuff and I'm worried about buying the wrong thing. Someone told me that certain protectors make the fingerprint scanner stop working and that sounds like a nightmare. Is that true? I’m looking for something that won't break the bank since the phone was already expensive but I need it to be durable. My main priorities for the phone are the camera and battery life since I take a lot of photos and I'm always on the go. Is tempered glass better than the plastic film ones? I have no idea where to start and I really don't want to scratch the display on the first day. Does anyone have a specific brand they trust for this model?

Like someone mentioned, Spigen is solid but oh man ive tried EVERYTHING and Whitestone Dome Glass Screen Protector is the absolute peak for that ultrasonic sensor. ngl its a bit pricey so maybe check out amFilm OneTouch Tempered Glass too. i usually lurk on the XDA forums to see what tech nerds are stress testing. honestly glass is SUPERIOR for clarity... anyway just watch an install video first...

^ This. Also, everyone recommends glass, but Samsung Galaxy S26 Plus Screen Protector film is thinner and faster for fingerprints. Whitestone Dome Glass S26 Plus is expensive and chips easily.

Look, get tempered glass. Those plastic films are useless against a real drop. Listen, just buy any glass protector from Spigen. It works with the fingerprint scanner if you follow the directions. I have used their stuff for years in the shop and it holds up. Don't overthink the tech. Just buy a solid brand.
