So what are the top chargers for the S26 Ultra because I honestly have no idea what I'm looking for... sorry if this is a really basic question but I'm upgrading from an old S10 and it came with everything in the box back then so now I'm super confused. My S10 takes like three hours to charge and the battery is just trashed tbh so I really want something fast for the new one. I spent all my money on the phone because of that crazy camera so I dont have a huge budget left for the plug part. Is there a specific brand or do I just buy any one from Amazon? I just want it to be safe and not blow up my phone lol.

This comes up a lot—seriously, search the forum—but I totally get the confusion because when I upgraded, I almost fried my brain trying to figure out why my old S10 plug was so slow. It’s all about the PPS "handshake"—wait, no, it's basically the phone talking to the brick—and without that, you're just stuck in the slow lane. I eventually got the Samsung 45W USB-C Fast Charging Wall Charger and it’s been solid for my Ultra.

Late to the party here but I’ve been through about five of these high-wattage bricks since Samsung stopped including them in the box — honestly, it’s a total racket — and I’ve seen so many brands promise the moon and then deliver a trickle. Back in the S10 days you just plugged it in and it worked, right? Now you need a degree in electrical engineering just to get that 'Super Fast Charging 2.0' text to pop up on the screen. I remember trying some off-brand GaN charger years ago and it literally melted the plastic housing, so yeah, definitely don’t go bottom-of-the-barrel on Amazon just to save five bucks. If you’re on a budget but want something that actually hits the 45W peak, I’ve had zero issues with the Anker 313 Charger 45W Ace lately. It’s tiny compared to the old bricks and it actually handles the PPS protocol correctly — wait, no — I mean it handles the specific Samsung handshake without getting scorching hot like some of the older Anker stuff used to do. Another decent one is the Ugreen Nexode 45W Dual USB C Charger which is handy if you need to juice up your buds at the same time, though keep in mind the speed drops if you use both ports at once. Just make sure you use a 5A rated cable because that’s where most people mess up — they buy the fancy plug and use a skinny old cable and wonder why it still takes forever. Get a 5A cable and one of those bricks and you're set.

TL;DR: Avoid any cheap brick that doesnt explicitly list "PPS" support or youll be stuck at slow speeds. oh man this is exactly my thing i spent way too long testing voltages on my setup lol. dont just grab a random cheapo plug off amazon even if it says 100W because without the PPS protocol it wont actually FAST charge that ultra. anyway bottom line is stay away from no-name brands that look sketchy.
