Hey everyone! I just finally picked up the new Samsung Galaxy S24 FE yesterday, and man, that screen is beautiful. I really want to keep it pristine, but I'm super nervous about micro-scratches or accidental drops. I've been looking around online for protection, but there are so many brands it's getting a bit overwhelming.
I'm specifically looking for something that won't mess with the under-display fingerprint scanner because I use that for all my banking apps. I also noticed the S24 FE has quite thin bezels, so I’m worried about getting a protector that might lift at the edges or not play nice with my Spigen Tough Armor case.
Here are a few things I'm prioritizing:
I've seen people recommend Whitestone Dome, but it seems expensive and the UV light setup looks intimidating. On the other hand, brands like AmFilm and ESR are much cheaper, but I'm not sure if they hold up as well over time.
Does anyone here have the S24 FE yet? What screen protector brand are you using, and how is the fingerprint sensor working for you?
tbh you really dont need to drop a ton of cash on those fancy UV kits. I usually go with amFilm OneTouch Tempered Glass Screen Protector 2-Pack for S24 FE because you get a multi-pack for way less than the big brands. It has an easy alignment tray so it wont lift at the edges. Just remember to re-scan your fingerprints. Its way more cost-effective and definitely keeps the screen safe from drops.
Congrats on the new S24 FE! Honestly, I have tried a ton of brands over the years and the choice basically comes down to how much you want to struggle with the install. Since you are already using a Spigen case, I would 100% recommend the Spigen GLAS.tR EZ Fit Tempered Glass Screen Protector for S24 FE. It comes with an auto-alignment tray that makes it literally impossible to mess up. I use it on my S24 and the fingerprint scanner works flawlessly, just make sure to toggle on the touch sensitivity setting. If you want to save a few bucks, the amFilm OneTouch Tempered Glass Screen Protector for S24 FE is another solid choice. It is also got a decent alignment tool and the glass feels super smooth, almost like the original screen. Both are way better than the expensive UV kits imo. Ngl, those Whitestone ones are a nightmare to get right!

Totally agree that case compatibility is huge. I am not 100% sure tho, but I think I heard that some glass protectors can be tricky with the scanner unless you turn on the touch sensitivity mode in your settings. IIRC, some people prefer the flexible film ones cuz they are way thinner, even if they dont handle drops as well. Might be worth looking into those packs with the alignment frames!
Helpful thread 👍
