What are the best fast charging bricks for the Samsung Galaxy S26?

Upgrading from my old S21. The battery on that thing is shot and the charging speed is pathetic. I just picked up the S26 and I need a brick that actually works. I want the fastest speeds possible. I’m tired of waiting two hours for a full charge.

I looked at the official Samsung 45W brick. My logic was that it’s the safest bet for compatibility. But then I saw some tests online saying the 45W version barely beats the 25W one in total charge time. It seems like it only peaks for a few minutes. So then I started looking at Anker’s GaN stuff. I like the smaller size for my bag. But I’m stuck on the PPS protocol. I read that if the charger doesn't support a very specific PPS range, the S26 won't trigger Super Fast Charging 2.0.

I don't want to spend $50 on a high-end charger if it’s just going to charge at standard speeds because of a handshake issue. Is there a specific third-party GaN charger that actually hits the max 45W spec for this phone? Or is the Samsung one the only way to get the 2.0 speeds?

Ngl the 45W vs 25W difference is only noticeable during the first 30 minutes of charging. Tbh the 'handshake issue' is actually just a requirement for the PPS (Programmable Power Supply) protocol to hit 5A. Most 45W chargers only support 3A, which causes Samsung to default to 25W. To hit Super Fast Charging 2.0 speeds on the S26, the charger must support the PPS range at 5A. These models are confirmed to work:

  • Samsung 45W Power Adapter T4510 is the standard choice. It is bulky but uses the correct 5A PPS rail.
  • Anker 313 Charger Ace 45W is a smaller GaN option. It is specifically designed for Samsung's SFC 2.0 protocol.
  • Spigen ArcStation Pro 45W GaN is another reliable third-party brick that supports the full 5A PPS spec. Lowkey, the cable is the most common failure point. You need a 5A-rated cable to bypass the 25W limit. Standard cables are usually 3A. Idk if the S26 retail box includes a 5A cable now, but if not, you should grab something like the Anker 543 USB-C to USB-C Cable 140W. Without a 5A cable, the phone will never trigger the 45W profile even with the right brick.
