I’m finally ditching my S21 Ultra for the S26 Ultra. The battery on the S21 has become a joke lately and the phone throttles way too much when it gets warm, which is my biggest pain point. My main priorities for the new setup are the camera and actually having a battery that charges fast enough to keep up with heavy use.
I’ve been using the same 25W brick for years, but I want to take full advantage of the S26 Ultra’s capabilities. I know Samsung has been stuck on 45W for a while, but I’m seeing conflicting info on whether this new model requires a specific PPS (Programmable Power Supply) profile to hit max speeds without the heat buildup I'm used to.
My requirements:
- Budget: Under $60.
- Tech: Must be GaN for a smaller footprint.
- Performance: Needs to support Super Fast Charging 2.0.
- Cable: 6ft minimum preferred.
I’ve looked at a few options but I don't want to get stuck with a brick that only hits 15W because the PD handshake is weird. Is the official Samsung 45W unit still the move, or is there a specific Anker or Ugreen model that handles the S26 Ultra power curve better? Which fast charger is recommended for the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra?

Everyone recommends the official stuff but honestly—I think the reviews are mostly brand hype. I've found the Ugreen Nexode 45W GaN Charger handles the S26 power curve way better than the Samsung brick (which gets weirdly hot); real owners know those official ones throttle. Or check the Spigen ArcStation Pro 45W GaN—wait, actually, the Ugreen is smaller.
- Ugreen: Stays cooler under load.
- Spigen: Better PPS handshake consistency. Grab a Baseus 100W USB-C Cable 6.6ft and skip the Samsung tax.
