Upgrading from my S21—the battery is toast—and I've no idea where to start. I saw Otterbox and Spigen online (Spigen has so many types?), but I dont get the difference. I need to protect the cameras without it being huge. Sorry if this is basic, but what are the best protective cases? Oh, and under $50.

I'm no expert but I just looked into this last week when I ordered mine. Spigen has a lot of options but they generally fall into three categories: thin, rugged, and hybrid. If you want camera protection without the bulk, look at these:
- Spigen Tough Armor for Galaxy S26 Ultra: This has a foam lining and a kickstand. It is thicker than basic cases but offers high drop protection for under $30.
- Spigen Optik Armor for Galaxy S26 Ultra: This model specifically has a sliding cover to protect the camera lenses from scratches.
- OtterBox Commuter Series for Galaxy S26 Ultra: This is thinner than the Defender and usually retails around $40. I found that Spigen Liquid Air for Galaxy S26 Ultra is the thinnest, but it offers the least drop protection. The Optik Armor seems best if the camera lenses are your main concern.
