So I finally bit the bullet and grabbed the S26 after holding onto my old S21 forever and honestly the charging situation is making me lose my mind a little bit. Ive been using wireless pads for years and I thought I had it all figured out with my desk setup but everything feels slow now. Like I have the official Samsung 15W stand from a couple years back and it barely seems to move the needle when I'm actually using the phone for work. My logic was that since it's a Samsung branded pad it should hit the max speed no problem but it feels like the S26 is way pickier about what it considers fast.

I have this big trip to Chicago on Tuesday for a tech summit and I really need a reliable setup for my hotel room because I am going to be on video calls for hours and I cant have the battery draining faster than it charges which is what happened this morning. I started looking at the newer Qi2 stuff but then I read somewhere that Samsung might still be using their own proprietary handshake for the truly fast 15W or 25W wireless speeds. Is that still true? Because I saw some Anker pads that claim high wattage but then in the fine print it says 7.5W for non-Apple devices or some other nonsense.

I checked my current stats on the device and even with a 65W GaN brick plugged into the pad I am barely seeing any real speed. Is there a specific model out right now that actually triggers the Fast Wireless Charging 2.0 animation every single time? I dont mind spending $80 or even $100 if it means I dont have to worry about my phone dying during a meeting. I just need something that definitely works with the S26 specifically. Are you guys using the new Samsung duo pad or is there a third party one from Spigen or someone else that actually holds the max speed without overheating and throttling down after five minutes...
