What are some free apps that actually send Amazon price drop alerts because I'm getting so frustrated with the ones I've tried. I looked into Keepa but half the data is locked behind a subscription now and the mobile app is just a mess to navigate honestly. I also checked out CamelCamelCamel but I've missed a couple deals because the emails arrived like three hours too late.
I'm in Chicago and trying to finish my kitchen remodel by next month and I really need this specific Breville espresso machine but I'm not trying to pay for a tracking service just to save money on the actual item. Does anyone have a reliable free option that isnt a total headache?
Just saw this thread and honestly, I feel your pain. I had the same issue with CamelCamelCamel being way too slow on a high-end blender last year. ^ This. Also, have you looked into the Honey browser extension? It is owned by PayPal now so it feels a bit more secure than some random third-party app that wants access to your whole life. Basically, the reason those email alerts fail is because Amazon limits how often these sites can ping their prices. Honey is decent because it tracks the price history right on the page, and you can add things to a Droplist. Since it is a browser extension, it tends to be a bit snappier than waiting for a server to send out ten thousand emails at once. The only downside is that you have to be at your computer or have the app notifications on, and sometimes it doesnt catch the Lightning Deals which only last an hour. For a Breville espresso machine, those price drops are usually legit and last at least half a day, so you should be safe. Just make sure you check the Price History chart it provides. Sometimes Amazon jacks the price up right before a sale to make the discount look bigger than it actually is. Stay cautious tho, some of these free tools sell your browsing data to advertisers, which is why I stick with the bigger names since they are already part of a major financial company. Good luck with the remodel, sounds like a killer project for a Chicago kitchen!
I would suggest considering these free tools:
I've been through that frustration more times than I can count. Those email delays are the worst when you're trying to snag a deal. I ended up switching to my current setup a few years ago and its been rock solid ever since. When I was remodeling my own place last summer, I was tracking this expensive kitchen appliance. The one I got sent an alert to my phone instantly and I managed to get it for half price. No complaints at all, it works well and doesnt hide everything behind a paywall. Honestly, just finding something that does push notifications instead of email makes all the difference for stuff like that Breville you're after.
