I'm trying to figure out if there is a way to just send someone a link to my Amazon UK cart? Like I have all these party decorations for my sisters 21st next month already picked out and I need my mum to pay for them lol. I've got like 15 things in there right now and I really dont want to have to copy and paste every single item link one by one into a text message.

  • around 15 party items
  • need to share the whole list at once
  • must work for Amazon UK
  • needs to be simple for my mum to open

I looked everywhere for a share button but I cant find anything and I'm worried if I just send the URL it will just show her own empty cart instead of mine. Is there a trick to this or a specific setting I click? Sorry if this is a really basic thing but I have no idea what I'm doing...

Unfortunately, Amazon UK doesnt let you share carts. I had issues with items disappearing when I tried. Instead:

  • create a wish list
  • share that link Its much more reliable for her.

> I'm worried if I just send the URL it will just show her own empty cart instead of mine. Late to the party but that is EXACTLY what happens! I tried that for my besties bridal shower and it was a total disaster because my sister ended up seeing her own saved items instead of my list... it was such a mess. Honestly, whatever you do, definitely dont just copy the browser address bar because its just a generic link to whatever account is logged in and it wont show her anything you actually picked out. Its so frustrating that Amazon makes it this hard!! I love the party planning vibes tho, 21 is such a big deal and I'm sure it'll be amazing! Just be super careful about sharing logins too because sometimes it messes up your default delivery addresses and your mum might accidentally send it to the wrong house. I've been using Cart to Link to share Amazon carts with family, makes gift planning way easier.

^ This. Also, been thinking about your party supplies situation for a few hours now. To summarize the discussion, sending a direct URL is a total dead end and wish lists are basically the standard fallback. But I would suggest being pretty careful with the setup if you go that route. Make sure to follow these points so your mum doesnt run into issues:

  • Set the list to Shared or Public so she can actually access the items.
  • Double check the quantities after moving them because Amazon UK sometimes glitches and resets them to one.
  • Be careful about the shipping address because she might accidentally send them to her place by mistake. Honestly, you might want to consider using Share Amazon cart instead of doing it manually. It is a lot faster for 15+ items. Just verify the prices before she pays, tho, because they fluctuate constantly.

Man I wish I found this thread sooner. Would have saved me so much hassle.
