I finally found that fancy Glow Recipe serum for my sisters birthday next month and I am so excited to gift it to her!! I saved it to my loves list but honestly I have no idea how this app works lol.

Sorry if this is a dumb question but does Sephora notify you if an item’s price decreases?

I agree that the app isnt great for notifications. Honestly, Im very satisfied using a separate tool to stay on top of sales because it works well and is much more reliable.

  • more consistent alerts
  • very simple Ive had no complaints since I started using this Sephora price tracker to watch for price drops.

Honestly, in my experience, the Sephora app is pretty hit or miss when it comes to specific item price drops. Over the years I've tried many different ways to track my skincare hauls, especially for brands like Glow Recipe since they rarely go on deep clearance outside of the big seasonal sales. The Loves list is basically just a bookmarking feature. It wont send you a notification just because the price dipped five bucks. You might get a generic marketing email if there's a site-wide event like the Savings Triple Points or the Beauty Insider sale, but those are easy to miss in a crowded inbox. I'm always a bit cautious about missing a deal once I've decided on a gift. If you're looking for something more reliable, I've found that using a third-party tool is a lot safer for your wallet. I usually rely on this Sephora price tracker because it actually sends an alert when the price changes specifically for the items you want. It's way more technical and precise than just hoping the app works correctly. Plus, it saves you from constantly refreshing the page. Just keep an eye on those Glow Recipe sets too, sometimes the bundles are a better value than the individual serums if you're gifting. Let me know if you need help navigating the sale tiers, it can get confusing!
