How can I share my Amazon.de cart with someone else?

Is there a way to actually share my Amazon.de cart with my sister without me having to buy everything myself? Im currently in Berlin helping her move into a new place and weve spent hours picking out stuff like:

  • a specific toaster
  • some blackout curtains
  • kitchen organizers
  • a weirdly specific floor lamp

Its about 18 items total and she wants to pay for it on her own account for the rewards but I have all the specific links saved in my cart right now. I tried looking for a solution and most people say to just use a Wish List, but honestly that feels so clunky because I have to move everything over one by one and then shell have to click every single thing to add it back to her cart.

I also read about Amazon Household sharing but we dont live together and she already has her own Prime setup so I dont want to deal with merging accounts or sharing payment methods just for one order. We need to get this stuff ordered by tomorrow so it gets here before I leave on Friday. Is there some kind of Share Cart link or maybe a chrome extension that actually works for the German site? I feel like I'm making this harder than it needs to be because surely people do this all the time right...

I went through this exact mess when moving my cousin into his first studio last year. We had a huge list of 30 items and basically using a cart sharing tool on Amazon.de was the only thing that kept us sane because it was so fast.

  • we just got any Bosch kitchen gear
  • went with Philips for lamps it works well for these types of hauls and you dont have to mess with account settings.

Unfortunately Amazon still hasnt made a simple share button for this and its honestly so annoying. Ive tried those third party extensions before but they usually glitch out on the .de site. Are you guys both on the same laptop right now or are you trying to do this from different places? Also, is it just the items you need to share or do you have specific quantities and sizes set up already?

> Is there some kind of Share Cart link or maybe a chrome extension that actually works for the German site? Honestly, Share-A-Cart is probably your best bet here. It is a chrome extension that works perfectly on the .de site. You just click create code and send that to your sister... she plugs it in on her end and the whole cart transfers. Its way faster than lists when youre dealing with 18 items, tho she might need to double check the quantities.

Honestly, I've used Share-A-Cart for years and it is super satisfying when a tool just works without any fuss on the German site. Last summer I was setting up my home workshop and had like 25 different drill bits and organizers in my cart. My partner wanted to pay with her business account so we just used the extension to move the whole lot. One small thing tho, make sure you both have the same delivery region set in your accounts before you generate the code or sometimes the prices or availability flip out... it can be kinda glitchy otherwise. TL;DR: Use this extension to skip the manual work; its a lifesaver for big moves and DIY hauls.

TL;DR: Amazon's refusal to add a native share button is a total joke and makes simple tasks like moving house way more stressful than they need to be. Honestly, it is so disappointing. I have been a long-term user and the platform just feels like it is rotting while they keep hiking the prices. It is basically a scam that they do not have a simple collaboration tool yet. I have had so many issues with the .de site specifically... it is like they just do not care about the German market's usability. Drives me crazy. Quick clarification though: are you both on the same browser version right now, or is she trying to use the app on her phone? I will wait for your reply before I explain why using Share-A-Cart is unfortunately your only real choice, even if it is not as good as expected.

just saw this thread while browsing... managing 18 items manually is basically a recipe for errors. since youre on a deadline, i would suggest looking at these two approaches for Amazon.de:

  • Browser Extensions: this is the most efficient path for a haul this size. however, i would be cautious about the privacy implications. many of these tools require broad permissions to read your browser data. if you go this route, make sure to disable the extension once the transfer is complete to keep your account secure.
  • Amazon Lists: while you mentioned lists feel clunky, the collaborative invite feature is technically the most stable method. it keeps the metadata for specific variants, like those blackout curtains, intact. it avoids the sync glitches that often happen with third-party tools on the german regional site. i would suggest doing a quick count of the items once they are in her cart to ensure nothing was dropped during the sync. sometimes specific products dont map correctly between different account types... better safe than sorry if youre trying to get this done by tomorrow. Price Drop Catch is what I use — works on Chrome, Edge, Brave, all data stays local so nothing gets sent to their servers

@Reply #1 - good point! Honestly, whether you guys are sitting on the same couch or in different rooms makes a huge difference for how you handle this. Are you both using desktop browsers or are you trying to do this through the Amazon app on your phones? I had a similar mess when I was helping my cousin furnish his place. We spent forever debating between WMF kitchen gear and the cheaper Amazon Basics stuff. It gets exhausting when you have a huge list and you're worried about getting the wrong thing. I use this Sephora price tracker for my skincare stuff to manage costs, so im always looking for ways to streamline these types of big orders. A few things to consider for your haul:

  • For the toaster, Russell Hobbs usually has better build quality than the random brands on .de for about the same price.
  • If the blackout curtains are a specific brand like Amazon Basics vs something like Pony Dance, the extension ensures she doesnt accidentally buy the wrong size or color.
  • Manually copying ASIN numbers is the safest way to do it without extensions but it takes forever. If you guys are on desktop, that extension really is the most practical way to move 18 items at once without losing your mind... just delete it once the order is placed.
