so im in a total panic right now because my best friend is moving into her new place in west seattle this friday and a few of us are trying to chip in for a bunch of kitchen stuff like a high-end blender and some nice pots but i have everything sitting in my amazon cart right now and i cannot for the life of me find a button to just send the whole list to my sister so she can see the totals and help pay. we have a $400 budget and i dont want to accidentally buy the wrong color or double up on things if she already bought something. i looked at a couple ways to do this but i dont know whats fastest since i have to get this order placed in the next two hours to get the shipping window.

im currently looking at these options:

  • using that share-a-cart chrome extension i saw online
  • moving everything manually into a public wishlist or housewarming registry
  • just sending a massive chain of links over text

the extension seems the easiest but im always a bit sketched out about installing random plugins that might see my shopping data or personal info ya know? has anyone used that lately? the other thing i thought about was just moving every single item one by one into a public registry but that seems like its gonna take forever and i have to get this order placed by tonight if we want it to arrive on time. i tried just taking a screenshot but the cart is so long i have to scroll like five times and it doesnt show the individual shipping dates which we really need to see. is there a better way to do this like maybe a collaboration mode i dont know about? i'm leaning towards the extension just because im in such a rush but if its buggy i might just have to do the wishlist thing. what do you guys think is the most reliable way to get a full cart over to someone else without losing my mind? literally losing it right now lol...

Unfortunately, Amazon doesn't have a simple share feature. I had issues with extensions being buggy and unsafe, so manually moving items to a Wish List is your only reliable option right now.

Ngl, the technical architecture behind these carts is basically siloed for security, but those extensions are totally amazing! I love how they parse session data via their transfer protocol. Just go with Share-A-Cart, you cant go wrong with their logic. Its a fantastic, methodical way to sync metadata without the manual list slog. Seriously, the automation they use is top-tier for bulk kitchen gear!
