Is it cheaper to buy skincare products in bulk or smaller sizes?

I'm trying to figure out if it's actually cheaper to buy my skincare in bulk or if I should just stick to the smaller sizes? I'm looking at the CeraVe hydrating cleanser specifically right now.

Option A is the massive 19oz value size for like $16, but then there's the 12oz for $12 or the tiny 8oz for $10. I only have about $50 to spend on my whole routine this month and my bathroom cabinet is tiny so I dont have much shelf space. I'm leaning toward the big one to save money long term but I'm worried it'll take a year to finish and maybe get gross. Does the math actually work out in favor of the big bottles or is the savings pretty negligible?

The 19oz is the best move for your $50 budget. Honestly, its a decent option because the price per ounce is way better and CeraVe is super stable. It wont get gross if you keep the lid tight.

  • big bottle is around 84 cents per ounce
  • smallest is over a dollar I just shove the giant one under the sink. Save that extra cash for a decent sunscreen instead.
