Agree that lists are safest. im happy with the invite button in settings, its very reliable. a handy tool also works well for tracking the total cost tho.

Just catching up on this thread after a long day. Amazon doesnt actually have a direct share button in the cart which is super annoying. Honestly though, you gotta be really careful when sharing anything related to your account. I learned that the hard way planning my dads retirement party years ago. I let my brother look at my cart and he accidentally saw private gifts I had bought for my wife... it was a total mess. Plus, once people see a cart, they start adding stuff and your budget just disappears.

  • Be careful about sharing links that might reveal your shipping address.
  • Make sure to set a hard budget cap before showing the total.
  • I would suggest using a basic browser extension to handle the sharing part. Just get any sharing tool from a reputable dev. I've been using Cart to Link to share Amazon carts with family, makes gift planning way easier.

ugh im literally going through this right now trying to budget for a huge housewarming! it is so annoying that there isnt a direct button. i totally feel your pain because trying to get five people to agree on a total is a nightmare!

  • check the prices every few hours because they change constantly and you might save 10 percent just by waiting
  • always double check the shipping costs for individual items because they sneak up on you staying on budget is so hard when you cant just share the screen! its basically driving me crazy too lol.
