I am trying to organize this big camping trip for my 30th birthday next weekend up in the Catskills and its getting so messy. I have about 15 items in my cart right now-tents, lanterns, specific types of bug spray-and I need to send the whole lot to my brother so he can pay for his half of the gear. Our total budget is around $300 and we are cutting it close on time so I need this to be fast. I did a bit of googling and saw people talking about the Amazon Fresh share your cart feature but it looks like that only works for groceries? Which is weird because why wouldnt they have that for regular items too. I also saw people suggesting wish lists but then he has to go through and add every single thing manually to his own cart and pick the sizes again and honestly he is kinda lazy so he probably wont do it right. My logic was that if I could just generate a URL it would save us like an hour of back and forth texting screenshots of the items. I saw some random chrome extensions that claim to do it but they look super sketchy and I dont really want some random app having access to my account details or credit card info... is there a way to do this natively that I just am not seeing?
Amazon is seriously behind the times with this one but I found a fantastic workaround that I use all the time! You definitely need to check out Cart to Link tho because it fixes exactly what you are dealing with.
Wait, are you both on the mobile app or desktop? In my experience, the UI for list permissions changes constantly and its a nightmare. Over the years, I have tried everything from custom scripts to manual scrapers to bypass their silos. The native shared list is your only non-extension bet:
