Does Kohl's have a predictable monthly clearance event schedule?

So I just moved into a new place in the suburbs of Chicago and my closet is basically empty because I donated a bunch of stuff before the move. I went to the Kohls near me yesterday and saw some killer deals on home stuff but I didnt pull the trigger yet because I am trying to be smart with my budget since the move was so pricey. I did some digging online and keep seeing people talk about a specific schedule for markdowns but the info is all over the place. Some blogs say they do the big clearance hits on the second or third Friday of the month but then I saw a Reddit thread saying it happens right after the Kohls Cash periods end which feels like it is happening all the time?

I really want to grab some new bedding and maybe a few pairs of work boots before my new job starts next Monday so I am kind of on a tight timeline. I noticed some tags had a little square in the corner which apparently means it is the lowest price it will go? But does that happen on a set day every month for the whole store? I am literally sitting here with my keys in my hand ready to drive back over there if the big drops happen today or tomorrow. Is there actually a predictable monthly event where they dump everything into the 70-80% off bins or is it just vibes? I really need to know if I should wait until this weekend or just go now...

Look, I've been chasing those Kohl's clearance deals for years and honestly, the predictable schedule is kinda a myth lately. I remember last spring when I was trying to redo my guest room on a budget... I waited until the third Friday because every blog said that was the magic day for home goods markdowns. By the time I walked in, all the decent bedding was gone and I was left with the weird colors nobody wanted. I would suggest you be careful about waiting too long if you see something you actually need. Those digital price tags update constantly now, so the old Friday rule isn't a guarantee anymore. One thing you might want to consider is that the lowest price square doesn't mean it wont go cheaper later, it just means it is the lowest for that specific sale cycle. If you need those boots for work Monday, just go now. Saving five bucks isnt worth the stress of them being sold out.

@Reply #1 - good point! I saw this earlier and had to jump in because I love a good Kohls haul! Before I give you the full scoop, are you looking for a specific brand of work boots like Wolverine or Caterpillar? Watch out for those Best Price signs tho, they can be super misleading and you might miss a stacking coupon if you arent careful!
