sorry if this is a dumb question but im really confused about how people know when stuff goes on sale on amazon. im trying to buy a breville bambino for my new place in seattle next month since i move in on the 1st and my budget is super tight. i was thinking i could just keep the tab open and refresh it but then i realized i might miss it while im at work? my logic was that amazon would just tell me but i cant find a button for that anywhere... i saw people talking about extensions but im worried about getting a virus or something since i dont know how this works. are there any easy ones that are safe?
Honestly, Amazon is pretty terrible about notifying you when prices drop. I have missed so many deals because their internal alerts are basically useless for specific stuff like the Bambino. Its frustrating because you think they would want your money, right? Unfortunately, I have had issues with a lot of the newer browser extensions being super bloated or buggy lately. They often slow down my laptop or send way too many junk notifications that just get annoying. If you want something reliable tho, CamelCamelCamel is what I usually stick with. You just paste the link there and it shows you the price history. This is huge because it tells you if the current price is actually a deal or just marketing fluff. Just set an email alert for your target price and forget about it. Moving to Seattle is expensive enough... definitely dont pay full price for that espresso machine if you can wait a week or two.
