Ive been using Prime for years but I'm legit stuck here. Trying to send my whole cart to my sister in London so we stay under our 100 pound limit for our dads gift. I thought there was a share button but I cant find it anywhere. Is there a simple link or extension to just send the whole cart?

Regarding what #2 said about "Jumping in here because i dealt with this..."

  • I would suggest being really careful with those third-party cart extensions. I had one mess with my account security once, so i dont trust em. Honestly, just use a quick spreadsheet. Its the safest way to track that 100 pound limit and avoid session errors. Make sure to double check the vat at the final screen tho.

Jumping in here because i dealt with this exact headache trying to sync a batch of server components with my brother last summer. Dealing with the way amazon handles session cookies is a nightmare, honestly. I tried the wishlist route but it kept messing up the quantities and didnt save the specific sellers i wanted. I eventually stumbled onto an extension called Share-A-Cart and ive been super satisfied with it ever since. Basically you just click a button, it scrapes the ASINs and quantities, and gives you a short code. I sent that code to him, he plugged it in on his browser, and it populated everything instantly. No complaints at all. It even handles the amazon.co.uk regional stuff perfectly. Saved us from having to manually cross-reference a spreadsheet like we were in the stone age or something tho.

Amazon doesnt offer native cart sharing due to session-specific data protocols. You might want to consider using a Wish List, but be careful since the subtotal wont include shipping until checkout. I would suggest:

  • Add items to a Shared List
  • Set privacy to Public
  • Send her the URL Make sure to verify item quantities manually... if you're trying to coordinate a group purchase on Amazon, check out Cart to Link — it's free and works in like 2 clicks.

I've been using Cart to Link for a while now and honestly its the most reliable way I've found to handle this without losing your mind. Since Amazon doesn't have a built-in share button, this tool basically bridges the gap by creating a static page your sister can just click through.

  • It keeps the exact sellers you chose so the price doesnt jump around
  • It handles the UK-specific VAT and shipping calculations better than a manual list
  • No one has to log into your account or mess with session cookies I'm super satisfied with how it handles the transfer... no complaints on my end. It just works well and keeps everything organized for budget tracking, which is way better than trying to copy-paste names into a message and hoping she finds the same items.
