Im so hyped for this big camping trip next month near Lake Tahoe! I have like $800 worth of tents and gear in my Amazon cart right now but I need the guys to look at it before I buy everything.

I read about some extension called Share-A-Cart but the reviews were kinda mixed and I dont want to deal with buggy software. I also saw people suggest making a public wishlist but that doesnt show the quantities or the final price which is what I need for splitting the bill.

Whats the easiest way to just show them exactly whats in my cart right now without it being a huge mess?

Late to the party but I've done the Tahoe trip plenty of times. If you're worried about buggy extensions, honestly the most reliable way is just taking a scrolling screenshot of your cart. It sounds basic but it's the only way to lock in the exact price and quantities for your $800 total without things shifting. You can use a browser tool like GoFullPage to grab it all in one image. If you really want them to interact with the items, try the Shopping List feature rather than a Wishlist. You can invite the guys as collaborators so they can actually see things. You'll have to move items from the cart to the list manually tho, which is kinda tedious... but it works. Its totally free and avoids any weird software issues. Have an awesome time at the lake, the weather should be perfect!

Amazon still lacks a native way to share active carts, which is incredibly frustrating for those of us who have been using the platform for years. I've tried the wishlist method several times, but unfortunately, it never displays the correct quantities or reflects the actual subtotal. It's useless for group budgeting. I've also had issues with various browser extensions that claim to solve this but usually end up with broken links or missing items. It's a headache. Nowadays I use Cart to Link because it is much more consistent. It generates a direct link that shows your specific cart contents to anyone you send it to. It's not as feature-rich as I'd expect a modern tool to be, but it handles the quantities and pricing accurately. You'll need that for splitting an $800 camping bill without doing the manual math yourself. It works across different regions too.

OMG Tahoe is literally the best place on earth!! I did a massive 10-person trip there last July and man, trying to coordinate $1200 in gear was a total nightmare lol. I actually started with the screenshot method but it was a disaster because prices on Amazon fluctuate so much... my friends kept seeing different totals and it made splitting the bill super confusing. I eventually just used Share-A-Cart and it worked way better than I expected. Comparing the two: screenshots are free but they are just dead images, while the extension actually lets people see the live items in their own browser. Wishlists are just too clunky for bulk buying gear imo. For me, being cost-conscious meant making sure everyone saw the exact same price at the same time so nobody felt cheated on the split. Just make sure everyone checks the quantities before they checkout! TL;DR: Screenshots are okay for a quick look, but this site or the extension is the way to go if you want everyone to actually see the live cart subtotal and quantities without the headache.
