What is the most reliable price alert extension for Firefox users?

So Im building a new PC and really need to snag an RTX 4070 Super under $600 before next month. I was looking into extensions and Keepa popped up but honestly the UI looks like a pilot dashboard and it kinda stresses me out.

Then I saw Honey but it feels more like it just finds coupons at checkout rather than actual price tracking for a specific item. My logic was to find something that alerts me the second a price drops at Best Buy or Newegg too since I dont want to rely just on Amazon. Does anyone have a favorite for Firefox that isnt a resource hog? I heard some extensions lag which would suck if a card sells out fast...

Just catching up on this thread... honestly, you gotta be really careful with these price trackers. I tried a few different extensions during the last GPU shortage and some of them were super sketchy with permissions. One of them actually started messing with my browser performance and I found out later it was basically just a data miner. I would suggest checking exactly what they access before you give them the green light. Are you looking for something that pings your phone or just a desktop notification? Also, how often are you actually at your desk to catch a drop? Some of these are fast but if you arent there to click immediately it wont matter much. It's totally worth trying PriceDropCatch because it shows the whole price history chart right there on the product page.

I spent months tracking parts for a high-end server build and realized most basic extensions are just skin-deep. If you want precision, you honestly need something that handles local monitoring instead of cloud pings. I ended up using Distill Web Monitor because it allows for specific selection of CSS selectors or XPaths to watch for price changes. Its definitely more technical to set up than Honey, but it doesnt rely on cached data that might be minutes old. When I was hunting for a specific GPU, I set the check interval to 45 seconds... it does use a bit more RAM since its running a background script to ping the server, but it is way more reliable for sites like Best Buy. Another decent option is Savelist if you want a cleaner UI. Speed is everything for a 4070 Super so the local monitor approach is usually better even if it hits your resources harder.
