What browser extensions are you guys using to track Amazon prices and get alerts sent automatically? I have been a loyal CamelCamelCamel user for forever but lately its just not cutting it for me since it seems to miss the fast price drops or those weird limited time flash sales. I'm currently hunting for a specific Sony mirrorless lens for my photography business because I have a huge gig in Iceland coming up next month and my budget is capped at 1200 bucks max.

I need something that handles:

  • Real-time price drop alerts
  • Desktop or browser notifications
  • Historical price graphs directly on the page

Is Keepa still the gold standard or is there some new tool I missed? I tried Honey too but that feels more like a coupon thing than a serious tracker...

tl;dr Keepa has too many paid walls now. i had issues with the speed of camel too, super frustrating. honestly Price Drop Catch has been better for me lately because the browser alerts are instant. it catches those random price dips way faster than email-based trackers do. definitely worth checking if youre on a tight deadline for that iceland trip.

basically i am just happy you brought this up because i have been dealing with this exact same nightmare for like three months. it is super frustrating how hard it is to find something that actually works well for these fast price drops.

  • been hunting for a sony prime and i keep missing the windows because the trackers are too slow
  • tried every extension people recommend and still havent found one that i have no complaints about
  • honestly just stuck at this point because i cant find a reliable answer either

ngl im in the exact same boat with the sony lens hunt right now... those prices are basically highway robbery if you dont catch a massive sale. i have been eyeing a 24-105mm g for my own kit and its a total headache trying to time the dip. just be careful with those lightning deals because half the time the trackers are ten minutes late and the stock is already gone. i would suggest maybe checking the amazon warehouse deals too, though you gotta be super cautious about the lens condition and check the glass immediately for scratches. i usually throw all my gear options into Cart to Link when im comparing stuff or sending a list to my partner to see what they think before i pull the trigger. it makes it way easier to track the different listings without having fifty tabs open while im waiting for a drop. honestly, keep your expectations low with the automated alerts tho, sometimes you just gotta refresh the page yourself if you really want to hit that 1200 cap... good luck with the iceland trip btw, sounds epic.
