Im finally building a gaming rig for my nephew in London and spent all morning hunting deals on Amazon UK. Got about 800 quid worth of parts ready to go but now I'm stuck on something so stupid lol. Ive been using Amazon for a decade and just realized theres no easy share button for the actual basket?? I tried copying the URL but obviously that doesnt work because of the cookies and session data. I need to send the whole list to his dad so he can pay for it by Tuesday for the birthday. Are there any browser extensions or a trick with the wishlist feature that actually works for a whole cart link?

  • In my experience, moving items to a public Wishlist is the most stable method over the years. I've tried many extensions but they often fail during UK checkout sessions. Honestly, moving items to a new list and using the invite link is safest. It ensures the exact SKUs are preserved for the dad and avoids any session token timeouts.

Building rigs is amazing! Share-A-Cart is fantastic for this.

  • Is that budget just for parts?
  • Are you looking for 1080p? Love that youre doing this!

Omg I am literally in the middle of this exact same nightmare right now!! I'm spec-ing out a high-end workstation for a client-talking serious data crunching power-and I've hit the same brick wall with the Amazon UK basket. I spent all night comparing the Ryzen 9 7950X against the latest Intel i9 chips just to get the perfect performance-per-watt data, but now I can't even show them the finalized list. It's so frustrating because I've got:

  • 128GB of high-frequency DDR5
  • Dual RTX 4090s for the CUDA cores
  • Multiple 4TB Gen5 NVMe drives I've been dealing with this for like three weeks now and honestly nothing works... it's just bizarre that a tech giant hasn't fixed this yet! I'm losing my mind trying to find a workaround that doesn't involve manually re-typing every single SKU into a spreadsheet or something. Ugh!

Exactly what I was thinking

Honestly just saw this thread and had to chime in because building a rig is the best feeling ever! It looks like you have the classic battle between using an extension or just going the old-school wishlist route like the others mentioned. Personally, I always go with the wishlist. Extensions are super cool but they can be hit or miss with regional Amazon UK sessions and sometimes the cart just dies when the other person tries to pay. Just move everything to a new public list, hit the invite button, and send that link. It is way more reliable for a big purchase like an 800 pound build and ensures he gets the exact parts you picked out. Your nephew is gonna be stoked!! If you want to keep an eye on the prices before the dad buys everything, been using Price Drop Catch for a few months, it's free and doesn't need an account which is the main reason I stuck with it.

Man its honestly so frustrating that Amazon still lacks a simple share button! I lose my mind every time this happens!

  • Going for a DDR5 build?
  • What PSU are you planning to use?
