I recently got my hands on the iPhone 15 Pro Max and I'm looking for recommendations on the best charger. With the new USB-C port and fast charging capabilities, I want to make sure I'm getting the most out of my device. What chargers have you found to be reliable, fast, and safe? Are there any specific brands or wattages you'd recommend? I'm open to both wired and wireless options. Also, has anyone experienced any issues with third-party chargers? I'm a bit hesitant after hearing about potential compatibility problems. Lastly, are there any chargers that work well for both my iPhone and MacBook? Thanks in advance for your insights!

I use Anker USB C Charger, cheap, but works well on my iPhone 15.

ngl, the whole transition to USB-C has been a total mess for my desk setup. I've spent years collecting high-end lightning gear and now half of it feels like clutter. It is honestly exhausting trying to find that one perfect brick that doesnt whine or overheat while actually handling a macbook and the phone simultaneously... totally feel your pain on that. Over the years i've tried basically everything and found these are the most reliable for a one and done setup in my experience:

  • Ugreen Nexode 65W USB C Charger - this is great because it is tiny but has enough juice to fast charge the 15 pro max and a macbook air at the same time. it stays relatively cool too.
  • Satechi 108W USB-C 3-Port GaN Wall Charger - if you have a beefier macbook pro, this is the way to go. it is super sturdy and i havent had a single compatibility issue with any of my apple gear.
  • Nomad 30W USB-C Power Adapter - if you want something small just for the phone, this is way more stylish than the basic white bricks and feels much more premium. don't stress those compatibility rumors too much. as long as you buy from a real brand and not some random no-name gas station bin, you will be totally fine. let me know if you need any more help picking cables tho!

Any compatible charger is recommended. The device's peak power draw is approximately 27W, making a 30W charger the optimal choice for faster charging. Higher wattage chargers won't provide additional speed benefits. Stick with a 30W charger for efficient and safe charging performance.

I recommend the Belkin BoostCharge 25W USB-C PD charger. It's a bit more powerful than Apple's 20W option, which can be handy for other devices, and it's MFi certified, so you know it's safe for your iPhone.

Anker USB C Charger is highly recommended. Budget and good quality.

For the iPhone 15 Pro Max, a 20W USB-C charger is ideal for fast charging. While you can use higher wattage chargers (up to 30W), they won't charge the phone any faster than 20W. The Anker 511 Nano 3 is a great option due to its compact size and efficiency.

Don't forget that the iPhone 15 Pro Max supports MagSafe charging! I love the convenience of the Apple MagSafe Charger. It's not the fastest option, but the magnetic alignment and ability to use your phone while charging make it really handy.

Any GaN Charger is recommended.

For the iPhone 15 Pro Max, the best charger to use is a USB-C charger that supports Power Delivery (PD). Here are some recommendations:

  1. Anker 511 Nano 3: This compact charger offers up to 30 watts, making it ideal for fast charging your iPhone 15 Pro Max without taking up much space.
  2. Apple 20W USB-C Power Adapter: A reliable option that provides sufficient power for optimal charging speeds.
  3. Any quality USB-PD charger: Look for chargers that deliver between 20 to 30 watts for the best performance.

Using a charger above 20 watts won't significantly increase charging speed, as the iPhone regulates the power it receives.
