Finally upgrading from my 13 mini. My logic was slim TPU, but my current screen is trashed. I’ve used Spigen for years, but the 17e’s camera layout has me worried about lens clearance. Need real protection without a huge footprint. Budget is $40. What are the best protective cases for the iPhone 17e?

Are you looking for a raised bezel for the screen or a dedicated slide for the camera? I have seen many 'protective' cases leave the lens exposed.
- Spigen Tough Armor iPhone 17e: $28. Provides a 1.2mm lip for the camera.
- OtterBox Commuter Series iPhone 17e: $35. Dual-layer build is better for impact. I used thin TPU cases years ago; they are garbage for actual drops.
