Which MagSafe accessories are best for the new iPhone 16?

I just got my iPhone 16 Pro today and honestly I'm a bit panicked because I'm heading out for a week-long work trip in Denver this Friday and I realized none of my old cables or mounts really fit the vibe or the speed I need for this thing. I spent way too much on the phone itself so my budget for accessories is strictly under $100 for now. I'm looking for a solid desk or bedside setup that isn't gonna take up half my suitcase and can charge my phone and maybe my pods at the same time.

I've been looking at a few different things and I'm totally torn between these:

  • The ESR 3-in-1 Travel Charger with the foldable design. It looks cool because it folds up small but I've heard some people say the magnets are a bit hit or miss on the newer heavy phones especially with a case.
  • The Belkin BoostCharge Pro because everyone says it's the gold standard but it's like $140 and that is way over what I want to spend right now plus it looks kind of bulky to pack in a carry-on.
  • Just getting the official Apple MagSafe puck and a cheap silicone stand but that feels like a mess of wires and I hate clutter when I'm in a hotel.

I'm mostly worried about the new camera control button on the side of the 16 and if these chargers or any magnetic grips are gonna get in the way of it or make it hard to use. I need something that charges fast because I'll be using the phone for navigation and photos all day for work stuff. If it can't arrive by Thursday night I'm totally screwed lol. Is the ESR actually worth it for the portability or should I just bite the bullet on the Belkin even if it's pricey and huge? Or maybe there is a better brand I'm missing that fits the 16 Pro better...

I'm very satisfied with the Anker MagGo Wireless Charging Station 3-in-1 Foldable Qi2 for travel. It delivers a consistent 15W charge and the build quality is solid for under $100.

  • Qi2 tech for fast charging
  • Minimalist design fits any nightstand
  • Secure magnets even with cases It works well with the 16 Pro without blocking the new camera button. Definitely worth it over the bulky Belkin gear.

Re: "I'm very satisfied with the Anker MagGo..."

  • Spot on. Qi2 is vital for speed, tbh.
  • UGREEN MagFlow Qi2 2-in-1 Charging Station is cheaper
  • Won't block the camera button

^ This. Also, I am stuck in the exact same loop and it is driving me crazy. I have been pouring over spec sheets for the 16 Pro trying to find a travel charger that actually matches the new 25W peak MagSafe output without being a total brick in my bag.

  • Most of these brands like Anker and UGREEN are still using 15W Qi2 modules which are technically slower than what the new phone can handle.
  • The ESR magnets often have high reports of thermal throttling during long sessions.
  • Belkin has the right tech but the footprint is way too inefficient for a minimalist setup. I am very satisfied with the phone itself, but I am totally frustrated that I cant find a charger that respects the camera control layout and provides the fast juice I need. I have been dealing with this since launch day and still havent found anything that works perfectly...

I had that ESR 3-in-1 for a trip last month and unfortunately it was such a headache. The hinge got really loose after like three days of folding it, and the magnets just aren't strong enough for the heavier Pro phones, ngl. I woke up twice with a dead phone because it had slipped half an inch off the sweet spot. Super frustrating when you have a long day ahead and no battery. If you're worried about the camera button, you're right to be cautious. A lot of those cheaper folding stands have a wide plastic base that can feel awkward when you're trying to reach around the side of the phone. I eventually moved away from the "cool" folding designs and just got the Spigen ArcField MagFit 2-in-1 Wireless Charging Stand for my travel kit. It is well under your $100 limit and the build quality is way more reliable than the ESR. It uses Qi2 tech, which is basically the new standard for fast charging without the official Apple price tag. Since you're heading to Denver, you definitely want something that wont overheat. I have noticed the super thin travel pads get really hot and then the iPhone+just+stops+charging&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">iPhone just stops charging at 80% to protect the battery. This Spigen one has decent airflow around the back. Honestly, skip the official puck and silicone stand idea... it is a total mess in a cramped hotel room and you'll just end up losing the cable behind the bed. Just make sure whatever you order has Qi2 on the box so you actually get those 15W speeds for your 16 Pro.

I'm actually gonna go against the grain here and suggest skipping those cheap plastic foldables if you're worried about long-term reliability. Those hinges can be a real nightmare for safety because if the coil alignment shifts even a tiny bit, the phone just cooks itself while you sleep. Honestly, it's way better to get a high-quality 2-in-1 that actually handles heat well. Check out the Satechi 2-in-1 Foldable Qi2 Wireless Charging Stand. It's built like a tank.

  • Solid aluminum body feels way more premium than the ESR stuff
  • Full Qi2 support for the fastest 15W wireless charging
  • Folds completely flat for your carry-on
  • Doesn't get anywhere near the new Camera Control button It's usually around $80, so you're staying under budget. The magnets are super snappy, so your 16 Pro wont go sliding off if the hotel nightstand gets a bump. Safety is a big deal when you just dropped a ton of cash on a brand new phone...
