Which MagSafe chargers are actually hitting those top 25W speeds for the iPhone 17 Pro Max? I'm finally upgrading from an iPhone 13 Pro—the battery on this thing is shot and it feels like it takes half a day to charge—so speed is my #1 priority. I've been doing some research and I'm stuck between the new official Apple 25W puck and the Belkin BoostCharge Pro 3-in-1 stand.

I found some threads saying the Apple puck is the only one guaranteed for 25W right now (if you use a 30W brick), but I’m worried it’ll get too hot and throttle. The Belkin looks way nicer on a nightstand, but I can't find a straight answer on if it supports the 17's specific fast-charging profile or if it's still stuck at 15W. My budget is around $150 total. I'm also considering the ESR Qi2 stuff with the cooling fans—does that actually make a difference for the 17 Pro Max? My 13 Pro used to get so warm while charging and I'm paranoid about ruining the battery health on the new one. Also, I need something that isn't too bulky since my nightstand space is pretty limited.

Is it better to just stick with the official Apple cable for the fastest possible top-off?

tbh everyone recommends the official puck but honestly the brand hype is real. they say 25W but the heat is a total KILLER. your phone just throttles and then youre back at slow speeds anyway...

  • Apple MagSafe Charger 25W 2024: sure it hits the peak if you use a 30W brick but it gets so hot its basically a hand warmer. i dont trust it for long term battery health ngl.
  • Belkin BoostCharge Pro 3-in-1 Magnetic Wireless Charging Stand with Qi2: people love the look but real owners know its mostly just 15W still. unless you get the absolute latest revision its just an overpriced paperweight for your nightstand.
  • ESR Qi2 MagSafe Charger with CryoBoost: lowkey this is the only one that actually makes sense cuz of the fans. if the phone stays cool it actually stays at high speeds instead of dropping off after five minutes...
