Looking for the best screen protector for my Google Pixel 8a.

Hey everyone! I finally upgraded to the Google Pixel 8a and I am absolutely loving the phone so far. The display looks great, but I am super paranoid about getting those tiny micro-scratches or, even worse, cracking it if I drop it. I want to get a high-quality screen protector on it as soon as possible, but I am a bit overwhelmed by all the options on Amazon and at the stores.

I have had some bad experiences in the past where tempered glass made the fingerprint sensor really laggy or just stop working altogether. Since the 8a uses an under-display sensor, that is my biggest concern. I am also planning on using a Spigen Liquid Air case, so I need something that is case-friendly and won't lift at the edges.

I have been looking at brands like Whitestone Dome, Spigen, and even the official ones from the Google Store, but the price points vary quite a bit. Is it worth spending more on the premium glass, or do the cheaper multi-packs work just as well these days?

Does anyone have a specific brand or model they are using on their Pixel 8a that doesn't interfere with the touch sensitivity or the fingerprint scanner?

In my experience:

  • Spigen Glas.tR EZ Fit for Pixel 8a is a decent option that fits that case perfectly.
  • Whitestone Dome Glass for Pixel 8a is pricey but tbh works better for the sensor.

Sooo, I've wasted a ton of money on pricey glass that just doesnt work. Honestly, you dont need to overspend. Check out these:

  • amFilm OneTouch Glass Screen Protector for Pixel 8a (about 10 dollars for two)
  • IMBZBK Screen Protector for Google Pixel 8a (cheap 3-pack) The oleophobic coating on these is actually decent for the price. Pro tip: Always toggle Screen protector mode in Display settings... it literally saves lives lol. Good luck!

Seconding the recommendation above for that amFilm kit! It's basically the best value for money. But if youre extra paranoid about safety and sensor lag, check out the Caseology Snap Fit Tempered Glass for Google Pixel 8a. It has a specialized coating that keeps touch sensitivity high and fits your setup perfectly without lifting. Just remember to re-register your fingerprints after the install... it actually makes a HUGE difference tbh. Basically, it works perfectly. gl!

Lol I was literally about to post the same thing. Glad someone else brought it up.
