I just got the new Motorola Razr Plus (2024) and I am seriously terrified of dropping it—what are the actual best protective cases that won't ruin the phone? I finally treated myself to this after saving up for months (I'm in Chicago and the wind here makes me drop things constantly lol) but now that I have it in my hands, it feels so... fragile? I’ve never had a flip phone before and I’m honestly so confused about how cases even work on these things.

I did some digging online already because I didn't want to come in here totally empty-handed. I saw the Spigen Air Skin and the Poetic Spartan mentioned a few times on some tech blogs. But then I read a comment saying the hinge protection on the Poetic one can actually trap dust and scratch the hinge? That sounds like a nightmare. And the Spigen one looks so thin—would it even do anything if I dropped it on the sidewalk? Sorry if these are dumb questions, I'm just totally new to the foldable world.

I’m looking for something that hits these points:

• Must have a lip for the front screen (I’m scared of scratching that glass)
• Not too expensive—ideally under $45 because the phone already killed my budget
• Grip! It feels like a bar of soap right now
• Needs to stay on (I saw some people say they use tape?? that sounds scary)

I just don't want to break this $1,000 investment in the first week. I saw some cases on Amazon that are like two separate pieces, but how do they stay attached without sliding off every time you flip it open? Do I need to look for a specific brand that uses adhesive? Or is there a "rugged" version that isn't as big as a brick? I’m just really worried about the hinge area specifically since it’s exposed. If anyone has this phone and has found a case that actually feels solid, please let me know... I'm kind of paralyzed by all the options.
