Hey everyone! I just upgraded to the new Moto G Stylus (2025) and I’m absolutely loving the experience so far, especially the improved screen. However, I’m a bit of a klutz and I’m already paranoid about losing the stylus or accidentally snapping it while I'm out and about. The pen that comes with it is quite slim, and I’ve had a history of misplacing small accessories.
I started browsing for spares online, but I’m honestly getting a little confused by the options. There are tons of generic "universal" styluses on Amazon, but most of them look like those chunky rubber-tipped pens that definitely won't fit inside the phone’s built-in silo. I really need a replacement that is the exact same dimensions so it clicks into the storage slot properly and stays secure. I also noticed that the styluses for the 2023 and 2024 models look almost identical—does anyone know if those are backwards compatible, or did Motorola change the length or the pop-out mechanism for the 2025 version?
Has anyone found a reliable third-party brand that fits the 2025 model perfectly, or is it safer to just hunt down an official OEM replacement? If you’ve successfully used a specific replacement that supports the palm rejection and fits the slot, could you please share the link or brand name?
> does anyone know if those are backwards compatible, or did Motorola change the length or the pop-out mechanism for the 2025 version? For your situation, I'd honestly stick with the official Motorola+Moto+G+Stylus+5G+%282025%29+Replacement+Stylus&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Motorola Moto G Stylus 5G (2025) Replacement Stylus. I tried my old 2023 pen and it literally wouldn't click in right... the length is slightly off and I was lowkey scared I'd break the silo. Basically, dont risk generic ones cuz they never fit perfectly. Stick to OEM ones for peace of mind tbh. Hope that helps!
Totally agree! Ngl, those generic Amazon pens are just rubber nubs and wont fit. Since the 2025 model has a unique silo shape, you really gotta stick with the official Motorola+Moto+G+Stylus+5G+2025+Replacement+Stylus&linkCode=osi&------123456890?5422-20" target="_blank" rel="nofollow sponsored">Motorola Moto G Stylus 5G 2025 Replacement Stylus already mentioned. The 'why' is that the phone uses a specific digitizer that needs the OEM tip for palm rejection to work. To save cash, check for bulk packs or 'Open Box' deals on their site? gl!
Seconding the recommendation above! > I tried my old 2023 pen and it literally wouldn't… Basically, silo shapes change every year. Careful with generics cuz they wont click in or stay secure, you know?
I am dealing with the exact same anxiety! This 2025 model is absolutely incredible, but I am also a total klutz and I am terrified of snapping that slim pen. Reliability is my top priority for this phone, so I totally get where you are coming from. Before we dive deeper into the search, I had a couple of quick questions:
