honestly so done with my old OnePlus 10 pro because the screen just shattered after a tiny drop even with a supposed 'tough' case and im upgrading to the 13 soon for the better camera but I dont wanna deal with this again... what are the most durable cases actually out right now for the OnePlus 13?

This comes up a lot every time a new flagship launches. Search the forum for previous model threads; the recommendations rarely change. For the OnePlus 13, the screen usually breaks because cases lack enough of a front lip to prevent contact on uneven surfaces. Spigen Tough Armor for OnePlus 13 is the most reliable mid-range option. It uses a dual-layer design with XRD foam for shock absorption. If you need maximum protection, look at Poetic Spartan Case for OnePlus 13. It includes a built-in screen protector and reinforced corners. Check the drop test specs; the Spartan is rated for 20 feet. Most thin cases only offer 4 to 6 feet of protection, which is insufficient for concrete drops. Make sure the case specifically mentions a raised bezel of at least 1.5mm.

Wait, ngl I gotta ask first—was that drop on like, flat tile or were you out on a hike or something? Because tbh it lowkey makes a huge difference in what kind of 'durable' you actually need. Like, if you're dropping it on the corners specifically, you really want something with those thick air pockets — wait, actually, it's more about the material density than just the air — because the shock needs somewhere to go that isn't the glass. I've been watching a ton of those YouTube drop test videos and it seems like the UAG Monarch Series for OnePlus 13 is usually the goat for that kind of corner impact. It has like five layers of protection which sounds like overkill but it's really about how they bond the TPU to the hard shell so the vibration doesn't just travel straight through. Idk if that's too bulky for you though, because those things are absolute units.

Saw this earlier but @Reply #1 - good point! That lip height is honestly the secret sauce. I spent weeks measuring my last setup with calipers (yeah, I'm that guy) and realized even a tank-like case is useless if the screen hits a pebble first — wait, no — I mean, it’s really about the bezel rigidity. Anyway, bottom line is that 1.5mm clearance is my absolute bare minimum.
