upgrading from my pixel 4a bc the battery is dead and i need a charger that hits 100w speeds... i saw the official one but its pricey—well kinda expensive—and i read generic gan ones dont work with supervooc so im confused if i should buy the oneplus one or if theres a cheaper alternative that actually works?

Standard Power Delivery chargers from third parties usually cap at 18W or 27W on these phones. If you want the full 100W, you need the OnePlus 100W Dual Port Power Adapter. It is expensive because it contains the specific handshake chips required for that speed.
