so I finally decided to upgrade from my old OnePlus 8T which has been a total beast for years but the battery is just absolutely cooked at this point and it takes forever to charge compared to what it used to do. i'm moving to the OnePlus 15 and honestly the camera specs look insane which is a huge priority for me but I’m super stuck on the charging situation. Ive been using the same old 65W brick forever but I know the new ones support way higher speeds and i dont want to bottleneck the phone by using some random third party cable or an underpowered block. my logic was just to grab a high wattage PD charger from amazon like an anker or something because I’ve used them for years for my laptop but then i started reading about the proprietary supervooc stuff again and now im worried if i dont get the official one ill be stuck at like 18W or something slow like that. does the 15 even come with a brick in the box anymore i heard they might be stopping that? my budget is kinda flexible but i dont wanna drop 50 bucks on a brick if a 20 dollar one does the same job. what are you guys actually using to hit those top speeds because the battery life is the main reason i stick with op and i dont want to mess it up...

Proprietary tech is how these companies get you to overspend on accessories. I always look at the cost per year of ownership before buying any gear. I fixed my own dishwasher last month for $12 when the repairman quoted $200, so I'm all about avoiding unnecessary markups. You need to clarify if you're looking for a one-size-fits-all solution for your laptop and phone or if you only care about hitting that peak wattage for the OnePlus 15 specifically. Also, what is your hard limit on price? If the official brick costs $50 but a standard PD charger is $20 and only five minutes slower, the math doesn't favor the expensive one. I won't pay a 150% markup for a few minutes of convenience.
