What is the best screen protector for the OnePlus 13 that actually sticks to the curved edges without peeling? I’m finally upgrading from my OnePlus 8T and I’m already annoyed by this curved screen trend. My 8T was a tank, but the battery is completely shot now—I'm lucky if I get three hours of screen-on time. It’s also got a nasty crack across the bottom left. I need the OnePlus 13 for the updated camera and that huge battery, but I refuse to leave the screen naked.
I’ve spent hours looking at options and I’m just more confused. I keep seeing people recommend those UV liquid glue tempered glass kits. They look great once they're on, but I've read horror stories about the glue seeping into the earpiece or the volume rocker and bricking the hardware. I'm not exactly a surgeon with these things. Then you have the TPU film protectors. Some people say they’re fine, but others complain they feel "mushy" and catch on your fingernails. I hate that rubbery texture. I want the smoothness of real glass.
I found one brand online that claims to have "full adhesive" curved glass without the UV light, but then the reviews say it’s actually just edge-adhesive and leaves a massive air gap in the middle. That would drive me insane. I’m also worried about case compatibility. I usually use a Spigen or something similar, and I don't want the case to just pop the protector off the second I put it on.
I’m not trying to spend a fortune, but I’ll pay for quality if it actually works. Is there a specific brand that has figured out the OnePlus 13 curve? Or am I stuck choosing between messy glue and peeling plastic?
So funny you ask this — last summer I wasted a ton of cash on edge adhesive glass and it was trash. I tried amFilm OnePlus 13 UV Glass and it feels way smoother than the rubbery TPU films that catch your nails. If you want the premium setup, the Whitestone Dome Glass OnePlus 13 Kit is the gold standard but amFilm is cheaper and works the same... UV is the only way for curves tbh.
So funny you ask this — last week I tried film — wait, it was plastic — so just buy Whitestone Dome Glass OnePlus 13 Kit for real glass that actually sticks.
> Regarding what #2 said about UV glass being the only way... I disagree. I have used UV kits on five curved phones and the glue mess isn't worth the risk to the hardware. I switched to Ringke Dual Easy Film OnePlus 13.
