I just got the new Samsung S26 for my birthday but it didnt come with a block in the box which is so annoying?? I tried using my old one from like four years ago and it says its gonna take 3 hours to charge which is crazy... Im super confused about all these numbers like 25W and 45W on Amazon and I dont want to buy something cheap that breaks my phone or gets too hot.
I only have about 30 bucks to spend right now since the phone was so expensive lol. Is there a specific brand or one that people actually trust? I just want my phone to charge fast without it blowing up or anything if that makes sense.
^ This. Also, in my experience, these handle PPS better:
Like someone mentioned, the official charger is the standard choice, but unfortunately I've had some really annoying issues with them lately. My last official block started making this weird high-pitched whining sound after just a month... super disappointing given the price. People get so hung up on that 45W label, but what actually matters for the S26 is PPS support. If the block doesn't have the right PPS voltage range, your phone wont actually hit Super Fast Charging 2.0 and you're basically wasting your 30 bucks. I've bought chargers that claimed 45W but only gave me 25W because they lacked those specific specs.
I spent way too much on a cheap block last year that actually melted the plastic on my cable, so i totally get the worry. Sucked. For around 30 bucks, these are the only ones I trust for my Galaxy: 1. Samsung 45W USB-C Power Adapter T4510 - it handles the PPS protocol needed for fast speeds.
