Just got my preorder confirmation for the S26 and Im literally vibrating with excitement lol. I finally upgraded from my old S20 so this is gonna be a massive jump for me and I cant wait to see how the camera handles. I use my phone for tons of mobile photography when im out hiking on weekends so I really need something that can juice it up fast before I head out in the morning.

I was looking at those Anker Nano chargers because they look tiny and easy to pack in my gear bag but then I read on some reddit thread that Samsung is being weird with the PPS protocol again this year and might actually support 65w now? But then another tech blog said its still capped at 45w so now im just lost. I dont want to spend like 40 bucks on a brick that doesnt even trigger the super fast charging 2.0 notification or whatever they call it now because that happened to my brother with his s23 and it was super annoying. My budget is around 30-40 dollars and I want to get it ordered before the phone arrives next Tuesday here in Seattle.

Does anyone know which specific blocks actually hit the max speeds for this model?

Just saw this thread and wanted to jump in since I went through this exact headache last month. Regarding what #2 said about "Wait hold up, be careful with the PPS..." - he is totally right about that 5A requirement. I did a deep dive on the ChargerLAB website to figure out why my old gear wasnt hitting the max speeds. I ended up picking up the Anker 715 Charger Nano II 65W and honestly Im super satisfied with it. Its tiny, fits in my camera bag without even noticing it, and consistently hits that 45W ceiling. If you want to save a few bucks tho, the Baseus 65W GaN5 Pro Fast Wall Charger is another solid choice I use. Its got multiple ports so I can juice my phone and my buds at the same time, though it is a bit chunkier. Both work well for that morning boost before you head out... just make sure your cable is beefy enough too because the brick is only half the battle.

Wait hold up, be careful with the PPS range because Samsung is super picky. To hit 45w, the charger needs 5A support at 9V/11V, and some 65w blocks skip that profile. Real quick tho, what cable are you using? If it isnt a 5A rated cable, the brick wont even matter. I suggest the Ugreen Nexode 45W Dual USB C GaN since its usually cheaper and works great.

Honestly its a bit of a mess with Samsung chargers right now and unfortunately the official ones are still overpriced. I had issues with generic 65w blocks not hitting the max speeds because they lack the specific PPS profile needed for Super Fast Charging 2.0. Its pretty disappointing that we still have to hunt for specific tech specs just to get a fast charge. To hit that max 45w speed, the brick needs to support the PPS protocol at 5 amps or it wont trigger the right mode.
