TL;DR: Honestly? No. Amazon officially ended their price protection policy years ago, so if the price drops five minutes after you buy that Dell, they wont just credit your card the difference. In my experience, their customer service has become way more rigid about this. I've tried many times over the years to get a partial refund when a laptop or monitor I bought went on sale a few days later, and they always tell me the same thing: return it and buy it again at the new price. It sucks because shipping a 27-inch monitor back is a total hassle and kind of a waste of resources. If you really need it by Friday, you might just have to bite the bullet and hope for the best. The Dell is definitely the better pick for a home office tho, that stand makes a huge difference for ergonomics and your neck will thank you later. If you're really worried about the price tanking, maybe check if your credit card offers its own price protection because Amazon definitely wont help you out once that order is processed.
