How can I easily share my Amazon UK shopping cart contents?

So I'm moving into this new flat in London next week and me and my roommate need to grab a ton of kitchen stuff from Amazon UK. I've already filled my cart but I need him to see it to make sure he's cool with the total before I hit buy.

My logic was either:

  • using one of those chrome extensions like Share-a-Cart but idk if they're safe?
  • or just moving everything into a public wishlist but that seems like a massive chore since I've already got 20+ items in the cart

I'm leaning towards the extension just for speed because we need this stuff by Friday but I'm stuck on which is less of a headache...

I totally get the hesitation because I had a nightmare experience with a generic browser tool once where it started messin with my search results and I had to wipe my whole cache. I wouldnt trust an extension with my actual shopping data if I can help it... even if its faster for getting things by Friday. I would suggest just using the move to list feature instead. If you go to your cart on a desktop there is usually a link to move everything to a list in one go. Its safer and lets you both see if the prices fluctuate before you commit. Plus you wont risk some weird data scrape. I know it takes a few extra clicks but for 20 items its maybe 2 minutes of work and way more secure than installing random software right before you move. Just make sure the list is set to shared so he can actually see the checkout total. Be careful with those third party tools because once they have your data its hard to get back. Better safe than sorry when youre already stressed about moving boxes and watching your budget.

To add to the point above: I've seen a lot of people struggle with this over the years, and honestly, extensions can be such a gamble. Looking at what everyone said so far, it basically boils down to:

  • Speed vs security (extensions are fast but invasive)
  • Reliability issues where UK site updates often break the scrapers
  • Risk of double-buying if the sync fails In my experience, if you're truly worried about safety but hate the wishlist chore, the best DIY move is just saving the cart page as a PDF and emailing it over. No permissions needed, and it shows the exact quantities and prices so there are zero surprises. It keeps things 100 percent private and you dont have to worry about some dev having access to your browsing data. If you're dead set on them being able to click and buy, honestly just suck it up and use the Move to List feature. It takes maybe 2 minutes to click the button for 20 items, which is way less time than you'll spend dealing with a refund if an extension messes up your order. Good luck with the move tho, London is a blast!
