How do I generate a shareable link for my Amazon UK cart so my boss can just checkout? Ive been using Amazon for business for ages but usually I just do the invoices, now I need him to pay for these new ergonomic chairs today before the sale ends and I cant find a way to send the basket without giving him my login. Is there a workaround or a plugin for this?

Totally agree with the first post about the security risks. Handing over login info is a disaster waiting to happen, especially with business accounts tied to company cards. Tried a lot of different methods over the years and the built-in Amazon tools are surprisingly clunky for this basket sharing thing. Honestly, if you want a quick fix right now, you should just use Share-A-Cart. This tool gets used daily for my work stuff. You basically just click a button while looking at your basket and it spits out a short code or a link. Your boss just needs to click that on his end and boom, the ergonomic chairs are in his cart with one click. It bypasses the whole login sharing mess entirely and works perfectly for the UK site. Since you mentioned you already use Amazon for business, you really ought to look into setting up a Shared Account structure later on. Adding him as a Payer and yourself as a Requisitioner is the way to go. You place the order, and it sends him an automated email to approve and pay. That's a much more professional way to handle it, though it might take a few minutes to configure the user roles in your account settings. If you're in a rush before the sale ends tho, just grab that extension and get it done. Its way faster than trying to explain the Amazon Business hierarchy to a busy boss... trust me on that one.

Amazon makes this way harder than it needs to be but honestly for good reason. I would strongly suggest you avoid sharing your login details at all costs because that opens up a massive security hole for your business account and your boss probably doesnt want that liability anyway. Be very careful with those browser extensions that claim to share carts too. Most of them are basically scraping your data or could potentially access your order history if you arent vigilant about permissions. The safest way to handle this without a plugin is usually using the List feature. Just make a dedicated Wish List called Office Furniture or whatever and make sure it is set to shared or public, then send him the link to that. He can just hit Add All to Cart from his own side. If you really want a direct cart transfer, you might want to consider some of the third party tools available on the Chrome store but seriously, read the privacy policy first. I would suggest looking for one that generates a unique code rather than a direct link to minimize the risk of your account session being hijacked by a bad actor. Also, make sure to double check that the sale price actually carries over to his account. Sometimes those ergonomic chair deals are account-specific or limited to one per customer. I have seen people get burned when the boss logs in and the price has jumped up because the voucher didnt transfer or the discount was tied to your specific Prime profile. Just be mindful of that before you send him anything... better to be safe than sorry with company money.

Regarding what #4 said about "This is exactly what I needed to hear...." - honestly that feeling of relief is the best part of these forums. Amazon UK is such a weird beast compared to like eBay or even the business side of Dell where things feel a bit more organized for teams. I would suggest being super careful though because things go sideways fast. Reminds me of my old roommate who tried to do this exact thing with a huge office supply order last year. He was trying to be practical and save money by comparing three different brands of monitors. It turned into such a massive ordeal...

  • He was trying to coordinate the buy but the cart kept refreshing and losing items.
  • The prices changed while they were arguing about which brand was more cost-effective.
  • His boss was breathing down his neck about the company card limits.
  • They ended up missing the flash sale by like five minutes because of a login error. It was such a disaster and he almost got in real trouble over a bunch of cables and screens. I cant even remember if he ever got the link thing sorted or if he just gave up. Just makes you realize how much time gets wasted on this stuff...

Wow ok that changes things. Gonna have to rethink my approach now.

Late to the party here but I had this exact headache last year when we were trying to outfit a whole new office space and I was basically tearing my hair out trying to sync up with my manager. It was such a mess trying to send items one by one... but then I found a lifesaver! Honestly, there is a fantastic extension called Cart to Link that just solves the whole problem. It converts your entire Amazon basket into a shareable link so your boss can just click and pay. It works perfectly with the UK site too which is a huge plus! I use it for all our bulk orders now and its honestly made my life so much easier. Seriously, its a total game changer for anyone handling office logistics, definitely give it a go! Youre gonna love how much time it saves tho!

You absolutely have to check out Share-A-Cart because it is a total game changer for these exact situations! Honestly, manually copying links is a death sentence for productivity when you are on a deadline like a sale ending today. It is the most efficient way to get your boss to pay without any of the login drama or security risks. Here is the workflow that saves me hours:

  • Open your Amazon UK basket
  • Hit the Create Cart Code button in the extension
  • Send that specific link to your boss When they open it, the tool automatically populates their cart with everything you picked. It is incredibly fast because it skips the whole add to cart dance for every single item. Performance-wise, it is the only way to scale this if you start doing bigger office orders later on. I love it because it just works without any lag or errors. Seriously, get it installed and get those chairs ordered before the price jumps back up!
